I have both purchased equipment from Honest Engine and had them repair equipment I had obtained elsewhere. Being a small family owned business has its ups and downs. Many times they are really busy at the start of a season and are weeks out on repairs and tune-ups for equipment. Sometimes I am annoyed by their shorter hours. But then I realize I deal with the same people every time I go there. They know me, they know my equipment. They value my business! I have learned to take equipment in early for tune-ups and make sure I deal with them during the day (not evenings) or mornings on Saturday. They have done an excellent job in repairing and tuning up my equipment. My garden tiller I purchased from them is great. They have always gotten back to me with estimates in a timely fashion. I haven't ever had to chase them for information as to what was going on with my equipment. A nice place to deal with!

If possible it would be .25 of a star! Adding and ordering parts without contacting the customer, takes forever to get bigger equipment 3-5 months to complete!! Very disappointed

I was happy with the work being done processing for everything seemed good. Then I was informed that my generator was finished went to pick it up got there 4:55 on Friday and they were closed supposed to be open until 530 very very disappointing

My Weedeater would not start. Found the carburetor tubing was ruined. Went to the big hardware stores I live next to, but could only find one of the two sizes and it wasn't clear to watch the gas flowing when you prime the carburetor. Bought a foot for $11. It took me 45 minutes to get help finding it. Most of us don't expect getting any help these days, because employees aren't taught customer service and respect is a priority. So it isn't unusual to experience these associates busy hiding or even ignoring the customer most of the time. Very frustrating! I searched nearby auto stores for 1/8th O.D. tubing, but could find none that small. These places have a lot better customer service, but also high prices and I took a chance, but it was the wrong size. I remembered Honest Engine from years ago in Layton, but they were closing in 5 minutes. It was going to take me 15. I tried anyhow. By this time I had nothing to lose except more money. All the traffic and stop lights were in my favor. I was 10 minutes late, but was surprised they weren't eager to lock their doors like most businesses are. A red headed young man with a dirty repair shirt was happy to see me and new exactly what I needed for a tenth of the price. Thanks for making my day. Next time I'm headed straight for Honest Engine for all my outdoor equipment needs even though it's two cities away.

Scott they do service those machines!
I think so
I have used them for a few things over the years. Carburetor work on my snow blower and I purchased a lawn mower from them recently are 2 occasions. I probably have gone to them half a dozen times over the last 25 years or so and they have not angered me yet:)
