They hired me just to fire me in less then 3 days.Something is terribly wrong about this place. Please stay away. Didn’t even pay me for the days I wasted. I should have never agreed to the “offer” when he told me the previous accounting person just up and left if that’s even true. Also do you really want to work at a public housing place and section 8 and it’s perpetual discrimination in housing to black folks?
Anthony
Never answer the phone and when you leave a message they never call back, have emailed the person I’m working with for over a week and nothing back, terrible customer service.

Left a message that I'm in an unsafe, abusive living situation and they can't be bothered to call back. They should all be fired.

They NEVER call back or reach out to you and when they do, they are the rudest workers I have ever spoken to. They seem to want to make people go homeless, instead of the opposite. Steve also needs to be fired, he is rude everytime I have talked to him and he left me in tears. I never expected such despicable behavior from local government employees, this agency is a joke, don’t bother wasting your time.

Sadly since the pandemic began they have not been responding to anyone for sure and I think not hearing from this office is essentially normal for them. Call the main number and start complaining it took me calling NBC 10 responds segment and posting public reviews and threaten lawsuits before they responded to any forum of communication see my review about this location for a better understanding of the state of things.
You need to call them and go there. They have waiting lists that are outdated and no one in the office updates the lists.
If you filled out the application and they have opened the program they should contact you for any additional information needed or should at least tell you you didn't qualify. Sadly however I like you never heard anything back from them at all and I kept filling out applications not knowing that you should only fill one out when the program is open for applications. If you have underage kids you will have better luck or at least be fast tracked but make no mistake application after application I waited 25 years to get my voucher and even if you call them no one will ever return your calls, letters or emails you should read the available reviews you will then understand.
Yes depends on age, income, and children.
I'm in the same boat. I got my voucher in April of this year. The Housing Locator quit two of them the new one has no idea what she's doing. I just applied for my third extension. I was living out of a friend's car I'm pregnant with twins I have a two-year-old son waiting for me!? And the Housing Locator told me she doesn't work for Section 8 and I have a disability voucher so it goes through Section 8. Therefore she couldn't answer three simple questions from a landlord who waited for me to get a nice place in Exton. Also I believe 10 to 20 places since April I've lost that I've had but because of you know circumstances I didn't get them. Now the Housing Locator not only doesn't work for Section 8 or answer questions she's telling me now that the landlord the potential landlord who I've never met who has questions that she won't answer. Needs to fill out the packet in order for her to send it to Section 8 to answer the questions that he has no wonder people aren't taking the vouchers
The application for section 8 is closed there only giving out vouchers or rapid rehousing to ppl in the shelters
30 W Barnard st. #2 west Chester PA 19382 phone number 610-436-9200 You will have to go there and meeting with someone. You will need identification, source of income and the same for who you will have living with you.
How do i go about getting a one bedroom apartment. just start working again
Not cool at all. The landlord has the right and authority to call the cops on the unwelcome tenant and have them removed. Please call the landlord and ask them to do this for the handicapped person.
I need a one bedroom apartment..I'm on Disability..what do I have to do to a one bedroom apartment..
They have a lunch break i believe.
