I have adopted several animals over the past decade. And we now go and celebrate with donations. Great compassionate staff.

Top notch director and staff that really care about the animals. Too many people have the wrong idea about shelters. The staff here genuinely care about the animals in their care and want the best for them. I adopted a dog from them and she's one of the best dogs I've ever had. They've helped me out with strays and always are caring and compassionate.

My dog was stolen 1 year old golden retriever Red collar with his name and my phone number on a tag spend three weeks now the shelter has it in Lost and Found and they are very helpful

This sweet girl was brought home from the Shelter. They did a great job of introducing The available puppies to our family as well as our other dog to make sure they were compatible. Staff went above and beyond. Highly recommend adopting from here

Currently the Hutchinson Animal Shelter is only able to spay and neuter the shelter animals in our care. We do however partner with "Cause For Paws" which is a non-profit support group that has a low cost spay neuter program called "STOP". Reno County residents can stop by the shelter to pick up or fill out a "STOP" application. The Cause For Paws organization will then pick it up from the shelter and call you to schedule the surgery appointment.
The Hutchinson Animal Shelter does not currently do any sergery or vaccinations on owned pets. We are not a veterinarian clinic and do not run a program for that. We do spay and neuter, vaccinate deworm and flea treatment all the shelter animals before they get adopted.
Yes, but call first. If they are full, they won't take pets
If they are unopened items we are happy to take them at the animal shelter! If they are opened bags we advice you take the. To the Reno county food bank and they can help disperse them to families in need!
Are you trying to transport it or using it as a bed
It changes so often and so fast. You can keep up here... www.hutchinsonanimalservices.com. Or just go in and see first hand as it's first come, first serve. Hope this helps! 😺🐕
Yes and thank you for surrendering rather than dumping your pet. That is how we got our dog and we live him. You give love to your pet and they get a chance. Thank you!
The animal shelter's phone number is 620-694-1924 They answer phones during open hours which at 12:30 to 5:30pm
Yes they do, it is $30 to surrender for euthanasia. They do not provide cremation services though and cannot release the body back after due to regulations. If you want your kitty cremated you would need to pay in advance at a vet and then they would transport the body there.
There is no account that you have to make but you do need to call the shelter to schedule an appointment time right now, due to social distancing guidelines for the city.
Call the shelter between 12:30 and 5:30 to report. You will need address of the dogs location.
No, the shelter does not regularly house rabbits. There are some instances where they wind up at the shelter, but it is not normal. :)
You do pay but I look at it as an investment. If a person cant afford to pay a little bit to adopt them, they probably cant afford to take care of them.
It shows they are on their website.

Unfortnately no we do not offer spay or vaccinations. We can put in a microchip for $15 as long as you bring in proof of rabies vaccination. The reason we cannot offer services such as spay and vaccinations is that the shelter does not employ a veterinarian. Thank you.
Kim, thank you for asking. Yes we have a fostering program. If you would like more information please come by the shelter located at 1501 S Severance and we can provide you with an application and discuss all the requirements. Have a great day.
Emily, No, this is not a no-kill facility. But it is acting as a Humane Society Animal Shelter. And yes you may drop off a stray there at no charge to you.
There is a program in Hutchinson called the Hutchinson Street Cat Society. You could call them and ask questions.
That is untrue. If you need assistance on getting your pet spade or neutered you can come in to the shelter and pick up a STOP application through Cause for Paws. The shelter does not do surgeries. 😊
Go into the animal shelter or there should be a link in the Hutchinson animal shelter page for lost/found pets and another link from there to report lost pets
Please Lil`lady, If you could take a moment to yourself... think about your question and ask again I will do my best to help you answer it.
All the time I do believe that is if you ment chipping
If you check their Facebook they post pictures often!
Just contact them and get the app filled out so your approved by the time he's ready to be adopted
I'd try Reno co buy, sell, trade or craigslist. The kittens I turned over to them they uthenized. All 5 of them
Yes, groups of kittens are $50 or $30 per kitten if you just have one. They are by appointment only so you will need to call to schedule a time to take them in.
