Stayed at the hotel for a soccer tournament. Ended up staying longer due to a visit to the Strong Hospital. Great location for the hospital. 8 minutes away and an easy drive. Plenty to eat close by, including walking distance. Lots of shopping nearby as well. Just a few minutes from Walmart and Target. Nice lobby sitting area and bar if you need to get out of the room. Pool was open and kids were enjoying it the whole time we were there. Front desk folks were helpful and polite as well.

Have stayed at this hotel frequently when visiting Rochester area. It is very shabby - carpets in hallways both needed vacuumed AND cleaned professionally. The room was OK cleaned but it had not been given a thorough cleaning or at least did not appear so. The bar and dining that is on the website was closed, yet the website did NOT indicate so (I book on IHG website only). There were no lists of nearby businesses and hours. The staff at the desk were very courteous and tried to be helpful, but they are either new employees still on their learning curve or just indifferent and/or overworked? I will be back in Rochester in late June and I will regretfully have to look elsewhere for accommodations

Horrible experience and we’ve stayed at this hotel several times in the past. The hotel charged us an additional, unauthorized $251.69 and $117.17 and no one could tell us why. The lady at the front desk admitted that the charges shouldn’t be on the account and that there were other customers who had also recently complained about unauthorized charges. I asked the lady at the front desk to call her manager, since she was unable to assist me at all, and she said “I’m not calling him at 1:30 in the morning” like it was completely ok to inconvenience me, steal from me and I just had to check out with no resolution at all. I asked her again to call and she stated she would first help another customer. I explained that I needed to leave to get on the road as I’m from out of town and asked her again to call her manager. The lady at the front desk called me rude and stated after she calls her manager, I need to leave. I asked her how I was being rude and she left, closing the door behind her. She supposedly spoke to her manager (behind closed doors) and came back telling me he would talk to me when he gets to work. I asked who was his manager and she stated he was it. I asked who I could talk to above him and she stated “Corporate” but could not give me any contact information. I then asked for her name and a pen to write it down and she threatened me twice stating she’d call the police and would have me removed from the premises. Being a woman of color, I felt unsafe that a Caucasian woman was threatening to call the police and claiming things that were untrue. I told her that I’m sorry for her loss (she mentioned earlier that she just came back from a death in the family) but that she was being rude and handled this situation extremely poorly. I’m extremely disappointed that a Holiday Inn would allow employees to not only charge whatever they want to customers credit cards but that an employee would threaten to call the police when it was completely unwarranted. What a horrible representation of customer service, doing what’s right, and treating customers of color poorly by threatening to call the police. Not to mention outright stealing. We will never stay at a Holiday Inn again. It’s not safe to do so both financially and physically.
