I normally don't write reviews (good or bad). Had a very bad experience. First room, smelled like someone was smoking cigarettes. We reserved a non smoking room. In the second room, there were people occupying it.The third room, the window unit a/c was making a loud motor sound. After moving to the fourth room, on the second floor, there were several tornado warning and was strongly advised by our phones and local news to take shelter and to move to the interior of the building and stay away from windows. We came down to the front desk and asked were can we assemble due to tornado warnings. She replied that we do not have any more rooms available. The lady barely understood English and had a very strong accent. We requested that she call the manager. We spoke to the manager over the phone and he tried to convince us that the building is made from concrete and we can sit in the breakfast area. The problem with the breakfast area is that there were windows in the room and it is leaking water from the rain! We asked to have access to go in the public restrooms, but they have padlocks on them! Worst experience ever!

A few hours after check-in during a two-day stay, a German cockroach crawled up on the desk beside me while I was using my computer. I killed it, took a picture, and went to the front desk to explain what happened. The desk clerk did not understand. I showed her the picture. "Oooohh, that's a cockroach." "Yes," I said. "Can I have a new room, please?" "You want a new room? For that?" After calling the manager, who asked me a couple of other questions ("How long ago did you see the roach?"), they gave me a new room and I finished my stay. But I won't ever stay here again.

I used choice hotels to book this reservation. I always choose choice hotels when I travel. What's in the pictures are NOT what you get. When I booked the room for 4 adults I asked first floor and for extra pillows since I am almost 7 months pregnant. When we got to the room it was clean, but there was a loose tile in the entry way (not really a big deal to me). The beds had two pillows each and when we asked for extra pillows they told us they did not have any extra pillows nor were they allowed to get any from other rooms. We also asked about a plug stopper for the tub and was told they did not have those either. The water in the tub only gets luke warm not hot. They only gave us 3 towels for four adults to be able to shower with.The hotel says it was just renovated but not really sure what they renovated. One of the outside doors in the hallway doesn't even work. The area is very sketcky so I would recommend staying inside if at all possible after dark. I will probably not book with this hotel in the future.
