We just stayed here for a week because our daughter was in Children's Hospital and it was actually pleasant. There were a few small minor things that were iffy but overall a good place to lay your head. Comfy big beds, microwave, fridge, recliner in our room was comfy. Shower and everything in our room was lovely. Clean room and maids go beyond to make sure your room is cleaned each day if you want.

Clean room, good shower. Looked like a nice pool too, we arrived too late and too tired to swim. Did not like being on the 2nd floor with no elevator and 4 people's worth of stuff to drag up and down stairs, at all! Great breakfast though! We all really enjoyed that!

Shockingly good deal. The neighborhood clearly isn't the best of the best but this hotel far exceeded my expectations for $68/night. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, the pool was open, and the parking lot was well lit. I was expecting a route 66 relic with some paint but this was far more than that.

We arrived and stayed for 2x nights. The staff member was more than helpful in getting us checked in and navigating where our room was (in the back). While looking around, we saw they were in the process of making renovations with better furniture and better amenities for the rooms. For the price we paid, it was appropriate for what the hotel offered. The pool was closed for the season, but there were some areas to shop nearby. On the day of checkout though, we woke up with some red marks all over our body and not entirely sure what they were, but hopefully some more thorough cleaning of the carpets and beddings can be done to help alleviate that for the next person. The breakfast was decent and had great help from staff with our checkout. The end result is this Howard Johnson is trying to do better and you get what you pay for.
