Very scary dr. who lies and does not know how to properly use medical equipment.

I don’t usually prefer to see male OB/GYN for personal reasons but this doctor and his medical students were extremely kind, caring, and professional. He answered all of my many questions and was helpful. He was gentle during my ultrasound and explained to me my diagnosis and why he believed I had it. He even gave me a free sample of the medication prescribed to me. The office was really clean and there was a big screen for me to see what he was seeing on the ultrasound. I would absolutely come back here and recommend it to anyone looking for a new ob/gyn

My experience here made me very uncomfortable. The two women at the front desk were nice, but Dr. Alshahrour didn’t make me feel comfortable. I was told I needed two ultrasounds and during the first one he says, “wow!”, with no explanation. I asked him why he said wow and he told me he sees a cyst. I begin asking if it’s serious or if I should be concerned and he told me he doesn’t know but I need to give a urine sample. I ask for water and he said I didn’t need it. Next, a medical student comes in and tells me to take off my pants/underwear. When the doctor comes back he begins prepping his equipment for the next ultrasound without telling me what’s going on. I have to ask him if it’s going to be internal and he says yes. He’s communicating primarily with the two medical students rather than me, and before talking with me first he conducts a Pap smear while I’m waiting for the ultrasound. Then, he began the internal ultrasound without walking me through what was happening and when I told him it hurts, he continued and told me to expect discomfort. I asked him again about the cyst and he told me there actually isn’t a cyst. I informed him of past abuse I’ve experienced that may affect my results and he brushed me off, then moved onto the next thing. He prescribed me something without telling me the name of it, it’s side effects, and no printed information about the visit. As I spoke to one of the students at the end, I asked when I’ll get my test results. She told me they will explain them when I have a checkup in two weeks. I asked if I would receive a call prior if the results are serious and she replied with, “obviously”.
