If you love your family member you will avoid this facility with everything you have. Don’t even drive down the same street as this facility. Don’t let them even look at pictures of this building. Go read some horror stories about health care places and it might just be about this one. Disgusting vile horrible things happen here

My grandma was there for rehab. It’s not a good place. The staff are lazy. There was one good man who actually seemed like he cared. They would put her on the toilet and leave her there for hours by herself. Staff was rude and not welcoming. The CNA’s were mean to my grandma when she had trouble walking. I wouldn’t put anybody you love here. They mistreat the residents.

Staff was not friendly at all. Very disappointed that my brother has to be there!!! Hoping that their week day staff is more caring then their weekend staff!!!!! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!!

Questions & Answers

Are there any Medicaid rooms that have single beds or are they all shared rooms?

Hi Denise! Standard Medicaid only covers a shared room and at Urbandale Healthcare Center that means one other roommate. However, everyone's situation varies and we are happy to discuss with you further your situation and what options might exist. --Urbandale Healthcare Center

Do you have a medical doctor

Yes, we do. Dr. Michael O'Conner is our medical director; however, residents are welcome to use a doctor of their choosing if preferred.
