On Saturday a small group of us were putting up political signs. I had just pulled over and was getting materials out of my trunk and deputies pulled up right behind me. They were simply checking to see if I needed help and not stranded. I thought they were going to scold me for being too close to the edge of the road but they simply asked if I needed help. Two very tall deputies with awesome manners. I didn't think to get their names. Thank you for that! It's nice to know they were looking out for this old lady's safety!

Terrible place! Yes it’s a correctional facility, but there are some guards who were working the morning shift who literally treat the prisoners like animals!! They have no concern for you or their well being! They barely even do their “job” there was one officer in there that worked the night shift “G.Mckean” who deserves to become a Sargent there and show the other “guards” what should be done, and needs to be done… he actually cared to try to help as much as he could within the power he has! Answered questions for concerned lost inmates, that had no idea what was going on with them, or tried to help with any issue he could! Besides officer Mckean, all the guards there treat people as if their dogs wirh rabies!

Please answer your phones. I cannot get through to anyone and no one calls me back. It's unprofessional to treat businesses this way when they need to schedule a doctor to come see an inmate.

Actually, out count means inmates that are outside the facility at count time, still listed on the facility roster but housed elswear, such as inmates housed at purgatory but in Gunnison for medical are on out count
F block is intake right before general population 3 weeks to a month then classified and moved to general population
Class A misdemeanor.

At this jail you can send them messages by downloading an app off of Google Play called "getting out". They cost like $0.25 per message but the thing is is both accounts need to have money on them first so you need to create an account put money on your side and then you need to put money on the person's account that you would like to visit as well
LEOSA is the only national permit currently. WCSO does provide retired LE with an annual firearms qualifications.
