This place always brings a smile to my face!! It is such a peaceful, beautiful, magical place! I love walking through the garden enjoying so many beautiful butterflies flying all around you, while listening to the peaceful music playing. There are several benches available so you can sit and enjoy your visit even more. There's not just butterflies either, if you are observant you'll also notice adorable little quails running around. They also have another bird, other insects, some amphibians and some reptiles to enjoy seeing as well. The gift shop is pretty awesome as well. It's a fantastic place, so worth the trip!

Great experience. I do wish they had the plants labeled as I didn't know some and wish I knew what they were - I know, there's an app for that - but there was so much to take in and enjoy that I didn't want to be fussing on my phone. I saw many people looking at their screen, while beautiful butterflies were landing on them, and they had no idea! My kids wore, bright green, dark green, pink, tie dye, and my mother in red. The pink/mauve color seemed to attract the most butterflies, the bright green a runner up. Oh! And look down, they had the cutest little quails scurrying about!

The Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory is incredibly cool. We paid for entrance through the gift shop so had a chance to see what was there on our way in. They have a great selection of puzzles, butterfly feeders and plenty of fun stuff for kids. Before you walk into the butterfly area, there are about 20 tanks with exotic beattles, chameleons and an amazing collection of frogs. Then on to the butterflies. I didn't expect the sheer quantity...they were everywhere! You can wander through at your leisure and we made quite a few laps. I was thrilled that so many landed on me and one hitched a ride on my husband's head for a while. There were quite a few quails running around calling to each other, along with smaller birds up in the trees. The vegetation is all labeled so you know what you are looking at. We were there on a holiday and they were slammed! We're already planning on coming back on a weekday when it's a little quieter. I could really just sit and watch these beauties for hours and my husband loved them too. It was neat to see people of all ages really enjoying the natural beauty here. Magic Wings is a winner!🦋💙

This place is absolutely wonderful and there are just butterflies everywhere you go. The staff are super friendly and this place is extremely kid friendly. It is worth every last hour that we spent here. Also it's quite obvious that they take good care of all of the animals that live there.

$16 adult, $14 senior, $10 children, 3 and under are free
Ok i will give them a call before we come down thank you for the quick response
Honestly, after having spent an entire day there with my husband and adult children, I can't even remember the prices. The experience of being in the very close presence of so many of the most beautiful creatures who we would probably never see any other place. I would pay twice what we did for the experience, the serenity, the emotional connection which I experienced in the time we spent there. It was truly one of those "Zen" experiences that someone would talk about and someone who hasn't had the opportunity might smile and shake their head at this explanation. Worth the drive...yes, worth the price...yes. Worth going with someone who you can share a truly special and( for me ), a very emotionally wonderful experience...absolutely yes!

She was good . . .got to say hi to her . .
In the end, it's like South America inside. You'll likely already be dressed for the conservatory just remember to drink before going in because of the humidity; tell the staff if you have any problems, they'll help.
It is all one level and there are benches for relaxing and letting the butterflies land on you
The temperature is climate controlled so that the butterflies are in a comfortable climate.
As a senior I know there's a discount for us oldies but goodies. And i do recall there is a discount for those who have served in our military. Plan enough time so you get to sit and enjoy a button quail running by your feet or a hummingbird flitting by.
A monarch chrysalis is green with touches of gold and black. Just before the butterfly emerges, the chrysalis becomes clear and you can see the butterfly inside. The chrysalis you describe may be a Mourning Cloak.
No birds but they had mounted butterflies in a glass and wood box plus they had cocoons in a kit for sale in the gift shop.
They have always been open year round. But to be sure, you should call ahead.

If doesn't seem to matter the colors you wear. When we went, we noticed that some people just attract them more than others. The staff said it's partially the natural oils or sweat on your skin. Everyone has their own "perfume". 😊 If you don't seem to be attracting them, you can buy some 🦋 food there.
