I did a half day fly fishing lesson and a half day guided trip with Eric. I had a really great experience and I would highly recommend Eric to anyone who is interested in fly fishing. Eric is an excellent instructor - he is patient, responsible, professional and knowledgeable. After we finished the trip, Eric also sent me a really detailed 5-page notes summarizing our trips and takeaways. I was also able to catch two beautiful rainbow trout during my half day trip. I look forward to another trip with Eric in the future!

So lucky to have them! Deerfield fly shop has just about anything you will need to fish our area, and a good selection of fly tying gear. The guys at the shop are always helpful and make it comfortable for beginners to experts. They have TONS of flies and highlight hot patterns for our area. They can guide you through the world of fly fishing, help you find a spot, loan you a rod to try and even book a guided trip. Next week I will join a group for a casting clinic and look forward to fly tying classes this winter. Highly recommend you stop in and support this shop! The internet will never provide this level of service.
