So far my all time favorite resort with so many different options for skiing - will be coming again and again! The place has perfectly groomed trails, with a variety of options (from skiing in the woods to vertical drops). The lift locations make sense and it's easy to get from a lodge to lodge even though they're in various parts of the mountain.

Been coming here since I was a little kid so this place brings back a lot of nostalgia for me. Not only the resort itself but also the drive up with my family from LA county. These last few years it’s just been with the usual suspects and also my new lady. With the ikon season pass, you come out here a couple days and your really get your moneys worth since lift tickets here are crazy expensive now. As with any resort, my complaint is that sometimes the ski lifts have long lines but this is a massive mountain so as you make your way to the top lifts, the lines are generally smaller. Keep in mind that since this is a huge resort, it’s very easy to get lost so I suggest downloading an offline map on your phone. Also, be aware that if there are heavy winds, they will shut off the gondola that takes you all the way to where the Dave’s run signage is. This doesn’t happen very often but it’s not uncommon. This is a good place to bring family as there are all sorts of runs for any skill level. In addition, I’d recommend getting a ski in ski out condo so you don’t have to worry about finding parking.

Good mountain with lots of different trails for various levels of experience. Many trails are groomed nightly so it is always nice to hit the slopes on softer snow daily. The downside is that on the weekends it's gets really busy and the lines are long, so save your self some time and go on the weekdays if you can. The lift ticket prices are astronomical so buy in advance if you can, the other issue is their lift ticket scanners at the lift don't work half the time so that's the only reasons for the 4 stars.

First class ski resort. Best California has to offer, hands down. Recommend going midweek as the weekends are very crowded.

Prices fluctuate. There is no set cost through the season, call or visit their website over 72 hours in advance and you will save some money!
There's tons of seasonal work in Mammoth. Go to their website and you can apply. There's also lots of seasonal jobs in town, especially the restaurants
I have an ikon pass but the mountain has been relatively empty the last 3 weeks. My understanding is that they are preselling daily passes to control census but I have not seen/heard that people are running into issues getting them. Bigger issue is lodging. Hotels and short term rentals are all currently not (supposed) to be accepting guests so unless you are planning on coming up for 30 days or own a unit you will find it difficult to spend the night. Check the website..but I believe there are no day tix because.of.covid..check IKON PASS
No.
There is no date, it depends on the weather, last year they closed in September after a big snow fall. I was there yesterday mountain biking had a lot of fun.
It should be about 65$. Its free if your over 80 or under 4 years of age. You can get discounts if you buy multiple days and if you buy online verses the window.
This place is nice any time of the year really it just depends on what you like doing
Tubing is completely separate from ski and snowboard slop, yes they rent Tubing if the tubing slop is open
If you or the family even remotely enjoy mountain biking, right now the place is an absolute Eden.
They extended it til August but some of the runs are now closed. We'll be going next weekend to go boarding so we'll find out. We were there in mid June and the snow was still in good condition.
Yes numerous places including the resort do. Also retail sales and in suggest getting ine for yourself so you can be directly familiar with its operations.
Saturdays will consistently be the busiest times especially shortly after a storm. If the Ikon Base Pass is blacked out it isnt as bad, but still pretty busy.
Not sure about that together. But they fo rental and lift tickets
Currently estimated Nov 8 opening, but that could change depending on snow conditions
They have half day and all day, you have to call..
Yes
18/19 season will no longer have the senior discount, unfortunately. Only to military and students. I feel like anyone out there at 75 deserves it though. Sorry
A lot of the time you are at least required to have them in the car, even if you never use them. Otherwise they may turn you back if it is actively snowing.
There's an OK coverage on the slopes right now, but gets slushy at the bottom by mid day. The black diamonds are icy in some areas but not terrible given the lack of snowfall.
If you feel less than confident in your skills on the slope, it sounds like a great idea to purchase a beginner's lift ticket. It can be purchased at the ticket window and used on limited chair lifts.
Usually, if you live in the valley and it rains, it means that it is most likely snowing in the mountains. It snows pretty frequently in mammoth though. And if not, they pump snow.
It will cost about $200 for full day. You can rent your equipment from Footloose ski shop on 3043 Main Street in town day before for about $40 , buy a half day ticket. This way you save a lot.
November until June typically but it went until August last season
Yes. Check Mammoth Mountain's website
Mono county
Pay up like the rest of us.
Not sure what the question is, but a 5 of 7 day lift ticket is $691.56 and can be purchased online. Read the COVID restrictions before purchasing
