I am beyond frustrated and annoyed with the receptionists and nurses at Kindrid! My mom had a stroke and was brought her after leaving icu at Mercy. I wish she could've stayed at Mercy until she was well enough to come home!! Receptionists and nurses at Mercy were exceptional!!! Can't say that for Kindrid.... It is literally impossible to get a nurse on the phone or to call me back and most the time the receptionists don't even pick up the phone!!! Worst of all they have the most ridiculous visiting hours and they say covid is to blame. 10am-6pm! People have jobs!! How are we supposed to get there before 6?!!!! Ughhhhh😤😤😤😤

Ron came to Kindred Hospital St. Louis South on a ventilator after being in the ICU for 6 weeks. During his stay he was able to wean from the vent and get his trach and feeding tube removed. He gained strength and mobility. I can't say enough about the administration, staff, doctors, respiratory therapists, nurses, and techs. The team all worked together for the common goal to help Ron heal and get stronger to come home to our family. They were well trained, supportive of his needs, and very kind and caring. They treated him not as another patient, but as the man, husband and father he is outside of that hospital bed. I will be forever grateful to the entire staff at Kindred St. Louis South for helping Ron return to our family!

My family member was transferred to Kindred Hospital after being in the ICU for several weeks. We appreciated the doctors, nurses and admin staff who met with us weekly to discuss her progress as a team. In addition, to the excellent nursing and therapy care provided, staff members would check on her just to make sure that she was okay. Kindred provides the level of acute care that is needed to help patients reach their goals, and most importantly, provided our family members with compassion during this difficult journey.

My stay at Kindred was seventeen days. I was treated with true concern for my welfare, respect for my feelings, comfort and cheerful friendliness. Everyone: nurses, doctors, Respiratory techs, dietitians, aids, care manager, lab techs all were amazing. Whatever I needed was given to me on schedule and with care and understanding for my situation. The staff encouraged me to do my therapy to gain strength and independence in order to return to my family and my life. I am very grateful to the wonderful people that worked with and helped me to achieve that goal.
