Awesome weekend here with my kids. Relaxing, quiet and the environment is so diff then the city life. Drff worth it. Just make sure you pick a lot that doesn't have too many rocks if you're gonna sleep in a tent.

George Washington campground is terrible..shame for the state to keep it open. Dirty water...filthy campground sites

Yeah it's pretty flat and stable for the most part, there are some rocky areas and water crossings, but nothing out of the ordinary.
