The staff are ok just follow the rules,go to work or go some place during the day and u will have no problem. Ppl from all walks of life stay here And this includes mental, emotional, physical disabilities drugs are here as well. U can bring in or have sealed bottle water and toilet paper. It's a lot more however just call and they can help you
Ronda Davis
I need know can there in November 5,2022 my name is Ronda Davis
Anita Beard (Skeeter)
It smells of urine in areas inside and out. The food is horrible. They allow mental patients and they do not take their meds and yell , cuss and threaten unseen people around them. They do not drug test. They give you only water at meals. No snacks allowed to fill your food craving since you can not eat the untasty rather bad tasting food. If you bring snacks they make you throw them away. No drinks allowed in you room but water. I drank so much I feel like a fish. I never seen but a few clothes on a table donated but sure there is more but not put out. Employee take home first I bet. They do intake on you then forget you. No pillows, shabby thin blankets nasty stained ones too. If your bed is under an air vent you will freeze at night and they will give you no extra blanket. I had my own given to me and had to donate it. I'm sure since it was new in pack it was carried home with one of the employees I have not seen it since. People with violent past allowed in. No screening done. I feel unsafe here. A lot of us do. No help with education here or job training. Smokers go out to smoke in the hot sun with no shade. The umbrellas are broken on the side we smoke but on the side the employees smoke look new. I feel sorry for who ever is stuck here for long. I am going to a better place.

Centrally located serving a large homeless population.
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
you only need goverment i.d. to... drivers license or state i.d.
Yes there is a woman's shelter
Glen is absolutely right 5am lockers everywhere
Just walk in and ask to talk to a counselor. Let them know your new never been homeless before
There is no chapel time in the morning and yes they do serve breakfast, lunch and dinner... and its free... not the greatest but free... breakfast is 730ish lunch is 1130ish and dinner is 5ish... But they do have a nightly Chapel where if you have not gotten that ticket for the night you can attend Chapel starting at 7 p.m. no my last around an hour and then you go to the day or room after Chapel to get a bit ticket for the night if you have not checked in or spoken to a counselor... There is a bit of a process to this place but it's not a place to live it's a stepping stone if you need a place to go or if you're hungry but they are there to help you but don't expect much because it's not like they have millions of dollars to give away.
We don't provide rides but he is welcome to stay as long as he needs
The mens shelter is on Lafayette ave. Once you go and register at the office you can eat, sleep there in addition to chapel services. The office is towards the end of the wall going away from the street. There is also a womens shelter located on Rosa Parks ave which is also 8th ave. It is not far once you past the famers market.
Yes he can 24 hours a day. I would suggest he called in advance and let him know he's coming and he's a first-time guest this will help him get in in a better way it'll show Nashville rescue mission responsibility on his part. Be advised there are some nonsense people there staying as gas stay away from them obey the rules be polite and he can find whatever help he's looking for there. If they cannot help him there for his needs they have great resources throughout the city to lead him in the right direction it's a wonderful place if used properly.
Yes
Yes..they..take..donations
That's right, first thing they're gonna make you do is take a COVID-19 Test. Ur gonna have a different bed every night til the results come in, usually after 2 days
You can try Nashville Rescue Mission temporary. Around from there is Room In The Inn I encourage you to check out their services along with their Guest House next to it.
You can call up there and talk to someone about it, but I believe You can also do it online
Nashville Rescue Mission has a reputation of having beds available, usually it takes 5 days to earn a locker. There's a storage place for pay, which is walking distance. Good city bus system, buy your own tickets, plenty of jobs, lots of construction jobs. Gets really, really hot here though. The mission is right next to a day center called Room in the Inn, both places feed folks pretty well.
The Men's Nashville Rescue Mission does accept men's clothing. They even accept women's clothing.
If a resident is on the verge of becoming homeless what is homeless they will have a place to stay until I can get back on your feet that is not a place so you can live everyday you go there you sleep so wake up and you get out in the morning go find a job start working save money and eventually get your own place or try to get the place to do have back in order... it is not a place that is going to hand you cash to pay your mortgage it is not a place that is going to pay your bills but it is a place to stay asleep to get back on your feet and if you have an alcohol problem or drug problem that is their specialty that is mainly what they help... I came into town from out of town after losing a car not having a way to get out the mission became a place for me to sleep counselors help me bus passes once they heard that I was trying to get a job and where had worked lined up but they're not going to go out of their way to give you everything because you're not entitled to anything.
A better place to go if you're a veteran would be a place called the room in the Inn because they specialize in veteran services
Yes they have lockers you just need a lock.
Cost nothing threemeals a day showers bed and have great work programs.
Yes, of course! You can have a job and stay with us.
I would like to know myself. They can be very profitable for a non profit.
Yes about a block and half. Very close
Hi James! There is no cost to stay with us. And you can stay as long as you need.
By 6:00 p.m
Go to the front office. Best bet
Men stay on one side and women on the other. IT'S filthy. Try salvation army on Dickerson
Yes but he will have to stay on the mens side unless he is under 18
Yes you can come in as long as if you're 8:30 at night
You have to go to the visitor center
They do have resources to help you find housing and whatever else you need but that's all I know for sure. You'll have to go and talk to a case manager for more information
No
Salvation Army is you best bet for getting on housing list and/or getting hotel voucher.
Yes but leave your weapons outside 🤟🏾
639 layfayette.... donation dock is around back
Your best bet is to come in and leave a message with someone at the desk or come sit in the parking lot and ask one of the females in the program
Can men smoke there anytime or there are certain times
Hi Dani! Yes we do! Please make sure that if mouthwash is donated it is alcohol free. These packages are highly needed and we can use as many as you can make! Thank you so much for your support!
It wasn't for me, to many young men, try salvation army, I'm getting help from them, good people
Service dogs are welcome, not sure about others. Best to just show up and ask.
Look up the womans rescue mission in Nashville
They help men women and childen.
The men's shelter will take them
Not always, depends on the situation
Hi Melissa, you can come to our Women's shelter located at 1716 Rosa L. Parks Blvd., Nashville, TN 37208. When you arrive please tell them you are a new guest and need to check in. The shelter has anything you would need and won't turn you away. God Bless.
Long or short term. With extended programs. It,s run like a minimum security prison now that covid is a thing.
Miller, I do work in the homeless community and may can find a better place than there. Contact me through Jenkins Church in Nolensville, either on Facebook or by phone. I'll be glad to help any way I can. Sorry you're going through this.
No pick up service that I know of unless you work for First Step Staffing. They help you get a job and they're based at the mission. The mission will help you if you're trying to get help.
Not that would be of any help
Hi Timothy, you can come to the Mission at 639 Lafayette Street and we can help you!
They have a women's shelter. Off 8th and Lafayette ave. Rooms at the Inn.
There are two rescue missions, there's a men's and women's in 2 different locations
For a guy i am not sure. Its open 24/7. I think they have to be there by 630pm. Church at 7 pm
No, the mission doesn't do background checks. However, if you're wanted by the law and they come there looking for you, they're going to tell the law if you're there.
There's a woman's mission on Rosa parks in Nashville if u have kids u can take them there the Nashville rescue mission is a men's mission it's on Lafayette street no weman can be there
The Nashville Rescue Mission will help you.
Not the Nashville rescue mission maybe the wemans mission
Just tell them that u are waiting on the hard copy because that you have a paper copy for the moment they should take it
Just your state i.d. But I don't recommend of staying there!
Families cannot go to the men's campus. There is a women's shelter, also Nashville Rescue Mission, on Rosa Parks Ave in Nashville. They except women and children. But the men have to stay at the mission on Lafayette St
Nashville Rescue Mission does not discriminate. Our doors are open to anyone in need. We believe all people should be treated with dignity and respect, including a transgender person. In 2016, the Mission's Board of Directors adopted the following Compassionate Ministry Policy, which states: As a Christian ministry of compassionate care to the hungry, hurting, and homeless we want to lead the Middle Tennessee community by demonstrating biblical radical hospitality. We strive to find innovative ways of expressing the truth that all human beings have value, dignity, and eternal worth because they are all created by God and bear His image. We believe every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the Christian values of Nashville Rescue Mission. The safety and security of all of our guests are of utmost importance.
We take a message, put it on the board, and then they are able to return the call
Go to the shelter directly.
All you got to do is show up...
Yes
I volunteered at the mission off and on a few years back and have been down there a few times here recently this year programs they offer I don't know all of them but I know the Gvp would probably be good once for you from what you say. If you go there talk to brother Bobby or Ray or Kent
Freddie come as you are and God will handle the rest. Peace my brother and may God be with you!
Yes you can do walk in nit bad place to help you get back in your feet
They serve lunch. There's a day center called Room in the Inn next door where people prefer to stay during the day. They offer many encouragements and services, and some days they serve lunches. Hardest part at the men's mission is that you don't get a locker till after 5 days so you have to keep your extra change of clothes with you till then. Lots of day labor companies for construction jobs, same day pay but they make people work so many days in a row that it drives them to drinking. If you do that sort of work watch out for that. Men need to network so they can rent rooms and get more rest but it takes time to know folks. You can meet people at the Bible study classes and art classes at Room in the Inn. Nashville Rescue Mission's best service is their evening Chapel services. Very uplifting and encouraging if you aren't too exhausted to enjoy it.
Yes, they do. You have to clear out every morning, but there are lockers for your items.
Unless you've got an outside locker, then yes ,you must take your belongings with you.
Its a shelter for men! And don't recommend of anyone to go there! Its an worst place for a homeless person to go! Also they do have a woman shelter to on Rosa Parks Blvd
Ok i am trying to get ahold of some one because I am coming there tomorrow morning to stay if possible I'm need to contact the Women side
They have great program to help you get back on your feet
No Wi-Fi
This one is only for men. The women's mission is on 1716 Rosa Parks Blvd
Of course but it's downtown so bring more than a hundred dollars a night to stay anywhere
Any time. I recommend before 6 pm. After 6 the schedule runs pretty fast. Also dinner is still available.

Go to the side street opposite the City winery and there is a donation drop off. Open every day except Sunday.
