I had an unpleasant experience. The waiting period for a referral takes a great amount of time, It has been 9 days since my initial appointment with the nurse practitioner and I have yet to receive my referral to consult with a specialist. When I inquired about the delay, I was told the hold up was on the insurance, however, I contacted the insurance company and I was informed that no authorization was required for an in network referral.
