OMG. This is THE highlight of this tiny town for visitors!!! That’s why I don’t understand why there is NO street sign at the intersection when you drive 2 blocks coming off the I-95 interstate!!! My GPS & too many retail signs at that intersection made me miss the turn 3 times. The hotel has a small, separate building centrally located between the rooms. In that building is a small exercise room, but it’s well equipped with a treadmill, dumbbells, a versatile cable machine, wall of mirrors, and a water cooler. Also, there are several laminated posters of various exercises to do on the cable machine. The middle of the office building is where you check-in. Both women were very friendly & down-to earth, yet professional. They offered me the already prepared citrus water in the glass pitchers in the lobby. Straight ahead are the outside swimming pool and grills. The hotel provides different snacks, games/activities, & alcoholic drinks by their calendar. I’ll post the picture of their calendar of activities that they post in the elevators. To the right of the office on the outside is a volleyball court, cornhole boards, etc for entertainment. The basketball goal is to the left of the office and downhill towards the lake. Now for the hotel room. My room was on the 2nd floor of the 3-story building. I used the elevator. When I opened the door, I had a wonderful view of the lake. A welcome bag of potato chips & candy was left on the countertop to greet you. The kitchen is spacious with more than enough countertop space. Appliances are not cheap and included: a blender & coffee maker. There is a full-sized, clean fridge. Full-sized clean stove, clean oven, & clean microwave. Plates, glasses, cups, silverware, are provided. Nonstick cookware is provided, but previous guests burn food in them, cut meat in them, & use metal utensils to cook in them, so they’re very scratched up and peeling- not useable. Eat out or bring your own cookware. There’s a double door closet by the front door and kitchen. The front bedroom faces the outside hallway. It has a big window. There’s a king-sized bed, night stands on both side, another double door closet, a chest of drawers at the foot of the bed that holds about a 30” tv. The full bathroom is in the hall but next to it. There’s a closet full of clean, white towels inside the bathroom. Also beside the first full bathroom is a washer & dryer (stacked). The dining table is long and will comfortably seat 6 people. All of the chairs have large seats and are a leather-like material. The living room has a pull-out sofa bed, a love-seat, and a matching, large upholstered chair. The drapes are beautiful, contemporary and matches the Roman shade on the balcony door. The tv in the living room is large and has cable. The balcony has 4 chairs lined up for a wonderful view of the lake to watch jet skiers, canoeing, and boating. The second balcony door leads to the master bedroom. The balcony door from the master bedroom does have a deadbolt lock for privacy. This bedroom has a wall of windows for lake viewing. The king-sized bed was flanked with a night stand by the window and a table on the other side. The closet has a safe, hangers, and luggage holder. The bathroom is inside of this bedroom. There are pocket doors to the bathroom. The single sink allows for a long countertop. There’s a lighted mirror that extends from the wall. The large tub is across from the sink. The toilet is separated by a wall. The shower is across from the toilet. It’s too small in my opinion and I’m only 5’2 inches and 130 pounds. It’s about the size of telephone booths in the old days. No problem. We used the shower in the other bathroom. The thermostat is in the hallway by the washer & dryer. You can adjust the temperature if you want. All 3 hotel buildings face the lake, so there are wonderful views. Since the outside hallway is made of wood, there’s some noise when people roll their luggage by on that floor and the floor above. Overall, I would return in a heartbeat to this place for all that it offers.

Could not say enough good things about this resort. The location is perfect with wonderful amenities. By far, the friendliest staff I have ever experienced at a Wyndham resort. They will make you feel very welcome and make sure anything you need is taken care of.

Wyndham is a small cozy lake house style rooms, where you can fish, take a boat out, sit by the pools, but there's isn't much else to do. The food around this area is not great and there's not a lot else you do, but that might be right up your alley. If you're looking for a few days away to just decompress, this might be for you, but you absolutely need to make sure you have a car, as there's really nothing around unless you go to Charleston for a few hours.

We had a lovely stay at Lake Marion. The unit was spacious and clean. Staff was very nice and suggested local landmarks to visit. Great place to just relax.

No, but on the other side of Lake Marion just across the bridge off of I-95 there's an awesome seafood restaurant called The Lake House. It's about 4-5 miles from the resort. And their desserts are to die for!
Ask for building 2. We have stayed there and it gets almost no direct sunlight on the balcony.
Yes you do need a license we were there this past june and had to buy a 11 day fishing.license but it really didnt cost much
I believe it is for the exclusive use of the guests of the resort.
