This review is only for the restaurant as we did not stay here. We stopped to charge our Tesla and decided to have lunch. The dining room and bar are in a charming white brick building that looks like an old house, with a fireplace in many rooms. There is a gift shop also. Lunch was superb. Some of the best non-sweet iced tea I have ever had. I had the soup and salad pick two; the vegetable soup was chunky and rich, with potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, peas, beans and corn. For the salad I had the pecan cranberry blue cheese salad. It was fresh and loaded with cherry/pear tomatoes and pecans.There was only a hint of blue cheese but the flavor was strong enough to carry it. My husband had the chicken salad plate, which had thickly sliced tomatoes and generous scoops of coleslaw and chicken salad. He also had a cup of the shrimp corn chowder, and we split the dessert of the day, a delicious salted caramel cheesecake. The food was absolutely amazing! Our server, Shaw, was attentive and polite.

We travel between FL and MD often with our labrador. We typically stay at Best Western, Red Roof, etc. Our last overnight in Santee was wretched! This time, we thought we'd try Clark's Inn. Loved it!! We were in a separate building where pet people go. Clean, quaint, roomy, very pet friendly, nice walking area with bags provided, coffee in the room, and dinner in the restaurant was WAY better than our typical fast food in the room. Lovely dining room, glass of wine, wonderful fried chicken and roast chicken dinners, apple crisp and ice cream... 😋 The gift shop is a little pricey but beautiful. I did manage to purchase a couple of things. 😉 They are still not serving breakfast, but our bag to go was more than adequate - delicious apple muffin, apple, juice, granola bar. This is our place from now on! Sorry I didn't take more pictures.

Was assigned room 260 and said it was on 2nd floor by the Tesla chargers. I went to get something to eat before going to room came back after hours only to realize there is no room 260 on second floor after walking around the building 3 times thinking I’m crazy I found emergency number where thankfully someone answered and told me the room is in a separate building on the the first floor. What clerk doesn’t know the layout of their own motel. I been going here for years.but haven’t been back since covid. What a change probably last time. Sad use to be a great place.

Stopped for dinner on our way home from Florida We had a great glass of wine each and decided on there bacon cheeseburger. Delicious!! Love eating in there bar area very relaxing and our bar person Karen was super friendly and made our long 7 hour drive bearable
