Questions & Answers

In the event of the hurricane's, is there safe shelter to house families who have to flee their homes?

Thank you for your question, Lester. We do not have safe shelter for evacuees during natural disasters. I wish we did. Typically, if there is a mandatory evacuation, we would be notified by the St Tammany Parish Emergency Operations Center of available evacuation sites and we would share that information through social media and our calling network. With Hurricane Zeta, there was no evacuation order, so the parish did not have shelters set up. I'm sorry that my response is coming to you after the hurricane, but we have been without power and internet access. Hopefully, this will help inform people when possible future storms approach.

Since it has bed picture....do yall accept people homeless?

The Epworth Project on the campus of Aldersgate church does not have shelter services. For shelter services, you can contact the New Orleans mission, they have programs for men and women.
