I went here as a child. Unfortunately it wasn't needed as it was my parents who needed the help however this place was some of my most fondest memories. Some of the happiest times of my childhood were here. Playing capture the flag. Group therapy. Friends who csme from trauma backgrounds who actually understood what each other was going through. As an adult now I look back at this place with respect and love. Grateful that in the darkest times of my life it gave me some light and a reason to keep fighting.

My son been on the wait list for the RTC and I keep getting the run around on his admission status everytime I call to check on it. This would be nice to be contacted by the CEO or someone high up. At this rate my 14 year old son will age out by the time y'all get your act together. Stop letting his mental health slip behind the cracks. Do y'alls jobs!

“Remember it’s k - E - nneth.” I went here a while back. Overall things were good, got involved in a bit of drama and was physically abused by a staff member who was promptly fired. Other than a small bit of the help I received overall this place was kind of lacking in providing legitimate emotional care which is further proved by the fact that I’ve actually had worse depression and suicidal ideations since I left, and it wasn’t until very recently that I received legitimate high quality care. I’m assuming Cedar Crest is less for suicidal patients and more for drug addicts and patients with anger issues, which would explain the lack of relatable peers, and overall size and aggression of most staff. Most of the staff is built like a body guard; big and strong. This place has definitely set some kids straight, but it’s not for suicidal patients (well at least during my stay it wasn’t) Overall though it was decent. 6/10.

Had to stay here when I was younger I was prescribed around 6 different pills and was once forcefully sedated for being "argumentative" when I had asked to be let into my room to take a nap I was also awoke by one of the nurses by her throwing water at me and flipping me out of my bed seriously if you care about your loved ones dont let them go here EDIT since a lot of people have viewed this review i recommend austin oaks instead

Pends how much are you willing to help yourself accept your place in mind they do their diagnoses and hand you pills but in all reality it's up to you I found my stillness in the quiet room away from everyone and singing to myself and the moonlight above me it is an experience in itself but all in all up to you when your there the only thing you got to worry about is what movie they putting on or the next assignment in the schooling area it's highly organized your confined to a point

Erppp....do you think that MAYBE a mental health patient would make a statement like that because they don't want to be there? And MAYBE that mental health patient is creating a situation for sympathy? Have you EVER seen any evidence to support what that mental health patient states? Hm...didn't think so.

I was there as an adolescent. As such, I was just down the hall from latency. (12 and under) From what I could tell it was a healthy environment. Kids were laughing and playing as well as getting the therapy they needed. The staff was caring and understanding (toward both latency and adolescents) and they allowed for plenty of creative expression.

There's a whole list of things you can't bring. Too many to put here but when I had to pack someone's bag to go she couldn't bring, sneakers with laces (had to have slip on or house slippers) no bras with underwire, no shorts, no tank tops, no shirts with suggestive sayings, no shirts with profanity, no makeup and in order to have their own hygiene products brought in from home it has to be brand new-unopened and contain no alcohol in them period. And they would need an order from the doctor to be able to have their products to use and/or to store in their own rooms. My guess is no items they can use to harm themselves or others such as, belts, blow dryers or hair irons.
I believe you can just discharge them. Im not entirely sure though, i was only a patient
Yeah. She's probably out now. And this is what I figured. I just wanted to let her know that I was thinking of her. But it's a little bit late now. A year later.
It all depends on how busy they are. When we admitted a loved one we didn't know she was going to be admitted but from the time we walked in, to the time we walked out was 3 1/2 hours.
I think they have a financial dep.that will help you sign up for gov assistance
You have to be on their call list.
