Let me start by saying the hotel itself is pretty nice, we just had a pretty terrible experience. We had to wait 45 minutes after arriving at the desk to actually check into our room. Apparently they didn’t have any of the room type we reserved clean and ready (at 10 pm). We said we would be fine with whatever, but apparently the lady at the front desk couldn’t find our same rate in a different room. Instead of calling the manager to get an override code or something (it seemed in a discussion with a co-worker the manager is mean and didn’t want to be bothered) they elected to make us wait 30 minutes while the room was cleaned. Finally, after about 45 minutes we were in our room (with a free bottle of water), and the room was nice. Spacious, clean, and the bed is super soft. (There is a lot of mold in the bathroom ceiling, but the rest of it seems very new and well kept.) THEN at 2pm we woke up to someone using a key to try and enter our room! We had the deadbolt and slider lock on, thankfully, but what in the world? In the morning, I couldn’t get the key to work after breakfast (which is very good with lots of options). My guess is they entered something into the system wrong and tried to give someone else our room. I’m usually very pleased with Marriott hotels, but this stay was dismal. Staff were nice, but obviously undertrained (if they tried to give away our room and couldn’t get it for us in the first place), and Marriott definitely needs to hire more housekeeping staff if they can’t have rooms ready at 10 at night. I’m glad our next stay is at a Hilton hotel.

Positive: Attractive, well appointed room . Proximity to a bar/restaurant at the Marriott. Helpful check in/checkout staff. Easy access to I-80. Negative: Strange that there were no spoons available at breakfast- we asked staff, but they just didn¿t have any. Also, it¿s helpful to know that you have to hold the handle down on the toilet for several seconds to make it work.

This location is next to a full Marriott between the highway and a business park. This facility has a great breakfast, an abundance of nearby restaurants, and a roomy indoor pool, relative to most hotels in this category. The beds are uncomfortable and the facility is a bit dated, yet the value for the experience and the location are really what you are paying for. This is a safe hotel in a safe area with moderately good value. I would return for future vacations.

3.5 stars. Not really a “bad” hotel, but not one I’d likely stay at again. Air conditioner had strong moldy smell. Room is surface wiped, but not really clean. Closet door was off its track was broken. Small but many stains on walls, floors, etc. . Mini fridge is frozen over. Low flow toilets barley flush. Bones are good, but need major update and cleaning. Staff was friendly and area was decent.
