My son did great during his visit. I had my toddler with me so I couldn't sit with him during the procedure. But he was not nervous or hesitant at all to be alone with Dr. Yanez and her assistant. Since this was not our first visit, there has been a level of trust and comfort already established so I was not at all concerned, nor was my son.

Omg Manzanita Kids Dentistry & Orthodontics is amazing. We took our son to see the dentist, and let me tell you, it's by far the best dentist experience we've ever had. Dr Gloria and her staff was welcoming, kind and very patient. We've had bad experiences with another dentist so you can only imagine how terrified I was, but all that went out the window. Thank you all for your amazing service and for being kind and patient with our 5 year old.we highly recommend this dentist to everyone.

I highly recommend Manzanita Kids if your child has anxiety and/or sensory issues. Dr. Gloria and her staff will make them feel comfortable and that their voice matters. My son's dentist's office shut down this year and I was on the hunt to find a new dentist for him. I knew he needed dental work. I was not satisfied with the opinions/lack or ease my son felt from 3 different dentists we saw before reaching out to Manzanita Kids. I AM SO GLAD I DID NOT SETTLE. Dr. Gloria took the time to go over what needed to be done and why. She took the time to answer all my questions, everything from insurance to sedation to comparing dental treatments and why my son would benefit from what she recommended. Our visit to Manzanita Kids went so much better than I anticipated. I was worried about how my son's anxiety issues from previous unpleasant dental work would affect Dr. Gloria's ability to complete the his treatment. My son took to Dr. Gloria and her staff so well! It was like night and day compared to his previous dental work. Dr. Gloria was patient with him when he was scared. She took small breaks during the process when she saw him get overwhelmed and asked her to stop. She explained what was happening to calm him down. Took the time to show him all the tools and describe their purpose before she used them, which soothed my anxious boy's nerves. My son handled the process so well without shedding a single tear. I sat with him during the whole process. Dr. Gloria set the expectation for the rest of my son's dental treatment plan and both my son and I are excited for his upcoming visits. Imagine that!
