Great place to relax and get a small hike in. Been here a couple of times and have explore a few trails. Great place to take a dog to get a little bit of energy out! Close to home and in the middle of the city. If you don't want to stray to far from home to go on a small hike this would be the place is for you. Good a.out of open space and a great place to get away from the city surroundings. Would definitely recommend thishike to anyone for easy hike. Will definitely return to thus hike to explore more.

Fantastic hike with beautiful scenery. Perfect if you have kids (as long as they stay on the path). There isn’t an official parking lot but I found parking was easy along the side of the street on University. (See my pics for a screen shot of the map)

We enjoyed the easy to moderately challenging hike today. The dry weather created silt-like hiking conditions with pathways that were easy to slide on unless careful. Otherwise, the hike was easy. Beautiful views in the middle of the city. Clean, quiet and surprising gift.

it is challenging! you have to get out of the neighborhood, go around to the other side of the park. there's an unmarked dirt "parking area". it's between a school's baseball field and a business--Pike's Peak Harley Davidson dealership.
No camping allowed and the property is patrolled
Unlikely. Any finds would really require digging which is illegal, as its a protected area.
No. This is a permanently protected park for the fragile ecostates and historical significance, and the signs usually are very clear about fires. Generally, in the city limits, fires are constrained to BBQ pits in open, public scapes, not extremely burnable landscape. I would except Fox Run park, though Black Forest had the most devastating fire in the city's history...
