AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COST!!! The heavy set balding African American mail clerk at the front desk was extremely rude. I waited over an half hour for my package which was then denied to me. Even after showing my ID, he began a huge shouting match and even insulted my wife. I suggest retraining of this employee ASAP, totally UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

Fill out the vacation stop yellow card at the Post Office and give it to a clerk. Do it at the Post Office in your town. It is also possible to do this online although I have never done it that way.
I truly don't think so.
My best guess would be that if you're talking about putting a hold on mail to a home address, then it might be that another post office services your address so it won't let you pick up mail from this location. The online process would show you the location which services your address. That's my understanding, e.g. I live in Monroe, and while the Heightstown post office is closer to me, I can't schedule to pick up mail after a hold at that location. Hope that helps.
