Music was outdated, definitely not what younger queer people are listening to. The tattoo and face paint guy was so sweet however, the merch in the back was very outdated and giving straight white mom and older millennial energy. I'd get some younger queer voices on the staff team/DJ area to revamp the place. Overall not a bad experience just not what current and new college students want and would stick around for. The bathrooms don't need to be gendered, especially at a place meant to be queer inclusive. As it can make trans and nonbinary individuals uncomfortable and unsafe. All the older people sitting around outside smoking will also make younger folks feel like it isn't the type of place for them, its uncomfortable and intimidating to walk by. With love, hope to see improvements and be back soon for a great experience.

We went to Scandals for a drag show to celebrate a bachelorette party! We had a BLAST! The DJ had us dancing beforehand with some amazing tunes, the bartenders were awesome and made such delicious drinks but the Queens were freaking amazing! We had a blast cheering them on, singing with them and of course throwing them some money for those kicks, spits and overall talent! Will definitely be back next time we're in Asheville!

Disregard the anti-fun shills , place is a blast and an iconic feature of the community. It's cannon. Check mate atheists

There was unfortunately a shooting on the street outside of this place last night which involved multiple people being injured (unsure if this place was targeted or just close by), some drunk folks inside started acting a fool and being violent trying to get outside. The staff handled the situation wonderfully. Restraining the aggressive people, keeping everyone else calm and informed. They were giving waters out to people to keep them hydrated and safe and calm. Even before the chaos and tragedy, everyone here was so friendly and the atmosphere was great. My friend and I went to multiple bars before this one which were very cishet and predatory, we weren’t able to just dance and enjoy ourselves unlike here. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending to other people. The drag show was a lot of fun as well!

They can't be big bags, and they do get checked, but yes.
What's happening New year's night
No, we do not sell food.
They do. Some nights are 21+ only, but some nights they can mark Xs on your hands. You should probably just call them to find out. This isn't a place where you should expect a direct answer from businesses, it's more a place to ask other people about said places.
No! It is 18+
They are having all three floors open as always and it's $30 per person to get in. You pay for your own drinks also and they offer free hors d'oeuvres
Cost to get in
Yeah on 10-28-17 and 10-31-17
