I moved to Asheville 4 yrs ago great place to swim or fish or just sit by the river in the shade. But then the city closed it all off. Stop closing everything off because of a few litterbugs. Fine them heavily, I'm sure citizens with cell phones will be glad to help catch them. But stop penalizing the rest of us!!

The river access south of the soccer fields is terrible. The landscape itself is amazing in theory, with shallow river access and swimming depth. But it literally had trash everywhere. Like trash bags abandoned. And the people already out there are human trash bags. Avoid.

Nice Dog park...has water! The lake is full of catfish. I just had what I caught for dinner. 😃
