This is a tuff one! Only saying because of recent service problems. Cust service was great. I'll find out next Tuesday if they correct my issue. I was paying for a cable service for two years that I never knew existed! I use my fire stick!! Still cannot find any cable tv on my tv,so I'll see what happens next week!

Want to bring on attention to Optimum unfair disconnect policy. They will charge for 31 days in advance and if you disconnect on Oct 1st, they will charge you until Oct 31st. Way to do business.

Optimum is the worst. We installed fiber optic at their suggestion to solve buffering issues with our internet. It has not worked right since. We had to replace our one TV as we couldn't get an adaptor to work with the optic fiber. We solved that one at an unexpected expense. Then there was a "power outage" in our area that did not seem to affect any of my neighbors. I was bounced around on two different occasions to several "service reps" who couldn't seem to find the special fiber optics department. Call was disconnected after 45 minutes of waiting. Waiting 4 days for a service technician. Confirmed yesterday. Picked up a message from them that someone at Optimum cancelled my call as the "outage was resolved!" We've been waiting since 7:30am. Today, was talking to a "supervisor" from an escalation team who the original rep said was "willing" to help me. Of course I am frustrated and after sharing this experience with him, he disconnected and I got a busy signal. Left message for Shine Wang who gave me his business card after a different messy problem lasting 7 months 2 years ago. Of course, did not get a call back. Lobby please to stop this monopoly and allow other providers to service the same area. PS- since the service is "coming through" from the pole, all representatives assured me I am still responsible for the bill. How nice.

When I went there this past Wednesday, you didn't need an appointment. But if you are returning equipment, they will not let you return it to the Piscataway store. You have to print a label off their website and take it to a FedEx store.

I "SO" understand your PAIN !! Unfortunately I have been there many times myself.. this is something the cable companies, (not just Optinum) are working through.. I personally can not stand the automated answering systems they now have in play ! They just "DO NOT WORK EFFECTIVELY!! " I go nutz because I want to speak to a "REAL PERSON".. A 5 minute phone call turns into a 25 minute phone call and you "DO NOT" get the answers you need and wind up hanging up !! Then the next issue is how WELL trained that person is... Recently I tried 5 separate times to get my cell phone into the new Atlice phone service and kept getting people with such strong Indian accents I could not understand them.. When I finally got someone I could understand they did not know what they were talking about.. I wound up having to just go to the Optimum store in Piscataway NJ to then find out.. that the Atlice phone service "DOES NOT" support the NOTE 8 phone.. I wish there ad said that !! Wasted alot of time !
Try to go there physically. Your local Optimum store is your only option left.
Simple answer is - monopoly. I live in the area where optimum is the only internet and cable provider. So they can rip off customers. They even charge customers to renew their network, it's called network enhancement fee. Check your bill.
Yes, you can come in and exchange it, just bring it in with the power cable and remote, you'll get a new box with new remote and cables.
The closest one to New Brunswick is the one in Piscataway. Very easy to get to. From New Brunswick, 18 north to River rd. River rd to Centennial ave.
I've been a customer of Optimum since they were originally Suburban Cablevision but now that Altice has bought them, they really suck. My contract with them was almost up, but I chose to stay with them and took one of thier promotional packages, a significant upgrade from our previous package. We requested to keep our landline number, but they changed it. Installer told us to print out a change request form, complete it and mail it. One month later they mail it back to me because I they said I didn't include enough info. Then my wife notices the bill is $44 more than the previous one. She calls them to find out why, turns out that they had the wrong account number. Then three days later my screen goes white with a message saying there's a problem with the account and to contact the Optimum store. Come to find out that they shut off our service because someone requested for them to! And then they wouldn't give me the same package because it was promotional. Optimum/Altice Sucks!

Not sure but the have company certified contractors. Ps I am not sure is that is a brand for van..I will look in to it.
