I have studied with Linda for over two years. I love the Indian poetry and stories she brings to class. Often she recites amazing poems and stories from memory and uses them to inspire us as part of the class. Recently she has been teaching us John Friend and Desi Springer's Bowspring approach to postural alignment called Sridaiva. I find Bowspring very energizing, although difficult, and interestingly, numbness that has developed in my toes in the last year is subsiding which pleases me greatly.

I have gained so much from my nearly 4 years of yoga class with Linda. The classes are a great mix of working to become stonger, have more flexibility and better balance, with an emphasis on proper alignment in every pose. And last, but so important, the classes are fun. Linda is a kind and nurturing teacher, with extensive training and skill. I highly recommend her classes.

I've been going to Linda's classes for a year and a half now. She's an amazing teacher that guides you every step of the way into the many strengthening and balancing poses. I really feel so much stronger today because of her classes and I so enjoy the growth I have witnesses in my own body. The workouts are challenging for sure, but the 'yoga buzz' afterwards is so worth it. I feel and stand stronger today because of Linda's classes.

My daughter Kate and I have been taking yoga classes from Linda for 5 years now. Linda is a wonderful teacher, always inspiring and encouraging. Her classes are fun and the workout is amazing! Yoga is a great thing to do for yourself and Linda is the best!

Questions & Answers

I would be a true beginner, having never done any yoga before. I am also pretty sedintary and out of shape/obese. Is this a good place for someone in my state, or should I try another place? If so, any suggestions?

Sean, my Bowspring Yoga classes are mixed level and are appropriate for beginners as well as returning students. I teach in 9-week sessions and we build as as the session progresses. A new 9-week session starts the week of January 14, 2020. I recommend you come to a class that first week. After the class you can decide whether to sign up for the whole session ($90 for Matthews residents or $95 for non-residents) or pay the $12. drop-in fee, keeping in mind that it is usually takes 8 or 9 classes to begin to fully experience the many benefits of this practice. I hope you'll join us! Linda

Hi. My daughter, 17, is interested in starting yoga. Do you have classes for beginners?
