This was my mom’s first visit to Dr. Jackson and she really appreciated his professional and caring mannerism. She was sad to leave her previous doctor who she loved, but she had to chance because of insurance. From the moment we walked in, the staff was very friendly. Check-in was easy and we hardly had to wait to go into the exam room. Dr. Jackson came in right away and made my mom feel comfortable and very welcomed. He talked to her for a while, examined her feet, and then starting clipping her nails. She’s diabetic and they have to be done by a doctor. He told her there was a callus on one of her toes that they needed to keep an eye on but overall she was in good shape. Some of her toes are disfigured from arthritis and she mentioned that her former doctor said she may need surgery soon. Dr. Jackson asked her if it was hurting her and she said no. He then explained that he does a lot of these types of surgeries and he will do it as soon as it starts to bother her. He said he didn’t want to perform surgery on her feet until it is definitely necessary. However when the time comes, it’s a simple procedure with a fairly easy recovery, and he will be happy to do it. Our whole experience with Dr. Jackson and his staff was wonderful! The decor was pleasant (Leave It To Beaver was playing on the TV—so nice to be reminded of a simpler time) and comfortable. The office and examination rooms were clean. I’d definitely recommend this office to anyone who wants a podiatrist that is professional, knowledgeable and caring.
