Been going here since the late 1940's... Built in 1936 ... My Dad was here on the Sunday the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, December 7, '41 ... Best stadium I've ever been in to witness a event... Close to the field ...Not a bad seat in the house.... Sometime in the 60's, they had to remove some seats on the east end and move the rock wall back to accommodate the PRO teams running into it at the back of the end zone ..too dangerous ....Saw many Shrine Bowl games, high school football, Herman Hermits, Beach Boys, Washington Redskins, Queen City Classic, before intergration, (Two all Black high schools, Second Ward & West Charlotte) Great memories! Glad to see Charlotte chose to keep it, since they have torned down so much ... Great stadium for Central Piedmont ... PS. Put some AC in those restrooms ...

A beautiful stadium! Only headache is having to walk all the way around from one side to the other but that's true of many stadiums. My only advise is park on the side of the team your cheering for or use this to get your daily steps in!

I can't remember.
Yes
They checked our bags before entering.
Not during events such as the Charlotte Hounds. Not very expensive and there is a parking deck if you prefer. There is some street parking in the area if you get there early enough.
