Great quick get away, just off of the I-65. Clean, friendly, beautiful setting and friendly and welcoming staff. We live close and we love going there. It was a great weekend.

I am a tent camper so the only downside of my trip was that tent sites aren't very well shaded and the way the sun comes up right on you it heats up really fast in the summer. I also didn't realize we were in the flight path of the airport and it was pretty loud at night if you're in a cabin or a camper it probably wouldn't be so bad. Other than that we absolutely love the campground. Very family friendly!! The activity area for the kids was great even though I think it still needs to have a playground for the younger kids. We spent a lot of time in the pool and it was well-kept the entire time we were there. We'll definitely return.

We are just leaving from our two night stay here. The campground is very nice and quiet. Some of the sites are pretty close together but we had a pull thru site on the end and it was great! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool is super nice and everything is very clean. Trails to walk on as well. Definitely would suggest to anyone to stay here!

KOA Shepherdsville KY was amazing! We traveled for a funeral and they were very accommodating. We were able to reserve multiple sites and they were very friendly. It was raining and they set up tables and chairs under the pavilion area for the family to gather. The cabins were very clean and spacious and there were plenty of activities for the kids to enjoy.

Yes, they are pit not stand so have a lot of area. You need foil as ours was rough. You do have to buy your own wood (our grill was not in good ahape except for campfire) they have fire wood available. Our site was very level and we had a nice tree. As it was booked campground, we were lucky in our pull thru site. I called instead of just internet booked and asked for some specific things. Also booked nine months ahead.
Yes. I believe it is 10%.
Prices vary depending on your camping needs.Go to their website for pricing on RV,tent and cabin camping fees. Louisville KOA south is awesome! Very clean facilities and lots of great amenities! I highly recommend this KOA, all ages will enjoy what they have to offer!
There are no gates, you can come and go at your leisure.
Yes they do allow tents! =] There are lots for RVs with everyone's own sewer, water, and electric. There is also wifi, although it can be a little spotty. Just be mind of neighbor's lots etc. Pool, bounce pad, trails, dog parks, pavilions, gift shop, shower houses with bathrooms, kids play ground, lakes for fishing all included. Price- wise I can't tell you exactly what it is but it's not SUPER expensive.
We've never checked in late without a reservation. However, many places will let you check in late. But, PLEASE, check the door for what spots are available. We had made reservations a month in advance at a RV park. We had got in late due to a bad accident on the freeway. Someone had taken our spot. We had to go back to the door to find another site which was less than desirable all at 1 in the morning.
Hmm it was really cold when we were there so we didn't look around...I don't even recall cabins? Ok it was dark too!
They are open year round. We love Louisville! V Dr you well maintained. Quiet. Been going there for years. Mgr's name is Jersey. Nice staff.
They do not. The FiveStar gas station just off the interstate on 44 does though.
About 30 minutes
They don't allow tents to stay long term.
I would call the campground and ask them.
Yes full or partial hook ups also choice of drive through or back in.
They only refill but there is a Lowe's and Walmart about a mile away.
Policies are different depending on location you might want to give them a call.
There is a large pond but if you want fishing check out the lake. Ten minutes away
All depends on what necessities you want... Basic sites are cheaper than full hook up.. You really need to call and ask.
It's a campground like every other... People tend to be very friendly here and will help you with any questions you might have... I always find myself sharing tips and tricks with others here. I've been here almost 2 years and the neighbors are great.
If I remember =[ I'll look in the morning... we're here tonight halfing the trip home, EVERYONE is so nice and helpful, staff, RVers, tent campers, etc.
,i think so
There are campsites that are tent only. Check the site map on the web page.
Yes you can.
I agree with the other responses. Very quiet. I recommended this to my sister-in-law. Her and her family now make it a regular place to stay when visiting relatives in KY along with us.
This campground is horrible. Stay at Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington so much cleaner and cheaper. KOA is expensive, unfriendly staff, and dirty restrooms at the Louisville location
You can google it. I amnt sure what the number is right off hand
