This group is a Money eater , they think you find money in the tree. It’s all about running unnecessary test . And when you ask to speak with a manager she never answer . Took my Pomeranian a Friday they charged me $1,000.00 Sunday I had to Luther to sleep . They knew she was not going to make so why ran unnecessary test. A rip off of place . Money , Money 🤬😡🤬😡🤬

Avoid this veterinarian group at all costs. Took my dog in for one visit, and the claimed that their system “crashed - they weren’t even able to give me a certificate for the rabies immunization that they administered. Months after my puppies visit, they called after and claimed that they “forgot” to charge me for an additional service after they claimed “the doctor went back through their files and forgot to add something”, and sent then sent the bill to collections, and began to try to force me to pay for services that were not brought up at the time of the visit. The only response they had for this manner is “well we have been trying to reach you”. They only care about money. Super unsatisfied with the whole service as a whole. Nearly $300 just to bring my dog just for a rabies vaccine. It’s unbelievable how one can “forget” to write something in my puppies file, my can suddenly remember to send me yet another bill.

They charge you for the most minor activities and are way more expensive then most of the places around. For minor treatments they are fine but anything complicated stay away. We will no longer be taking our dog here and would recommend others stay away as well. 09/20 Just updating my review since the reply wants to elaborate on the conversation they had with my wife. One of the estimates that was provided after all the xray costs and outside consultation costs was a strongly recommended surgery for $4k to remove the “foreign objects” in her stomach. Luckily we decided to not follow your Drs advice as the “foreign objects” was her breakfast. We repeatedly said she had issues in her hind legs and multiple times every day were told no issues. She was their for 2 whole days (mind you we were charged for a dr shift change which was never included in any estimate and the doctor has 0 idea on what was happening) and during those 2 days got no where. We had to take our pet elsewhere where they immediately diagnosed what was wrong and began treatment. We then had to call this office 5 times over the course of 2 weeks to discuss our dissatisfaction with the so called manager. This practice needs to start focusing on patient care and not just how you can add a line item to someones bill.

It’s been so difficult trying to find a place for my dog since he has severe anxiety that causes him to feel very scared and a little aggressive and because of this no place that we’ve gone to has ever made him feel welcomed. However bringing him here was one of the best things ever. Not only we’re they very welcoming but I felt more at ease knowing that he was in good hands with people who are truly passionate about what they do. Definitely got themselves another client!

Not exactly sure, but I believe it a very reasonable price. You can always call and inquire, they don't mind you asking the question. Just so you know, they are very good with your pet. I've been coming here since Sophia was two months old and she two years old now.

Do you do free diagnostics on stray cats? I just brought in a stray cat and she is not eating, drinking, moving much, is kneading a lot, is meow/purring every time I check on her, and has white-colored discharge in her left eye.

What causes worm problems in a dog?

Gladys Powell | Oct 15, 2019
Westfield Veterinary Group | Oct 15, 2019

Gladys, worms can be contracted from a variety of vectors. While parasites in dogs can be fairly common, it is important to get the pet screened, treated and on a preventative de-worming plan to keep them healthy according to the veterinarian's recommendations. If you wish to schedule an appointment with one of our doctors, they would be happy to screen your pet and recommend the appropriate treatment. We can be reached at (908)232-1048 to schedule an appointment.

Can a shitzu die from a worm problem?

Gladys Powell | Oct 15, 2019
Westfield Veterinary Group | Oct 15, 2019

Gladys, Thank you for your question. If left untreated over time, a worm infestation could eventually become life threatening especially with certain types of worms, or parasites, as some impact the body more severely than others. If you are think your pet has worms, or are unsure, you can call us at (908)232-1048 to schedule an appointment with one of our doctors. They can perform a complete parasite screening, treat if necessary and then help to get your pet on a routine preventative de-worming schedule to keep he/she healthy.
