My brother and I ate there last weekend. I got the country style steak, mashed potatoes, slaw, okra, and collard greens. He got the BBQ, slaw, fries, and baked beans. I'm glad I didn't get the BBQ because the only sauces they had on the table was a smoky favored and vinegar based one (I prefer a sweet sauce). I've had better country-style steak but the gravy was good. I loved the homemade potatoes and the slaw, but the collard greens had a kick to them that I didn't expect or particularly enjoy. My okra needed to be crispier too. My brother liked everything but the baked beans. We both loved the little hush puppies. He got the decadent chocolate peanut butter dessert and I got the delicious coconut cream pie (both homemade). We loved the porch with the rocking chairs to relax in after a good meal. Great service and a cozy warm atmosphere. If we're ever up that way again, we'll stop back in!

The chicken tenders were greasy tonight. We had to throw them to the dog. The appetizer was the cheesy fries that cost 7.98. They were not good either. The fries were mushy and did not taste good at all. My salad was good but very disappointed in other items. I paid for good food but did not get it.

Food and service was great! Open on Holidays too. I got their homemade chicken & dumplings which was well-seasoned and light as air! Hubs got brisket & pulled pork which was bomb! Don't believe me, ask former President Obama!

Great BBQ place. We stayed in Marion randomly before hiking Mount Mitchell and found this place. The food and the service is great. Do not hesitate.
