I am 73 years old and even though we have a primary care doctor we were out of town so visited Roper express care Ashley Circle on Monday August 1. After waiting at least 2 hours which I didn’t object to I was finally seen. The doctor said I had COVID which I expected but did not even examine me my chest is full I have a horrible cough chills and fever. I have low IGG so am very prone to upper respiratory problems. I don’t recommend anything to do with Roper. I was given nothing. What a poor excuse for a doctor and and an urgent care facility. I have insurance

Stay away from this place for COVID-19 testing. They are not a 'regular' COVID-19 testing center and they are not clear with that, which I find equivocal. About 2 months ago I developed flu like symptoms on a weekend and out of caution decided to take a COVID-19 test to avoid putting my roommates at risk. I Googled COVID-19 testing centers around me and Roper St. Francis popped up. They happen to be less than 2 miles down the street and I decided to stop by the next Monday afternoon. I checked in and informed them that all I wanted was a COVID-19 test. This was my first time getting tested for COVID. They take me through the process, I fill in the paper work and provided my insurance information. All along I thought this was standard, just like many other hospital visits where they take a patient sample. I went in and they took vitals, which seemed surprising to me because I thought they would just take a swab once I checked in. So I'm wondering why do they need to take my bp and such and all I asked for was a COVID-19 test? I am assigned a nurse practitioner who looked at me and at some point even suggested that 'I can write you a prescription'. At that point I figured something was fishy and her writing me a prescription would mean billing my insurance more and I told her - NO I JUST NEED A COVID TEST. A few months later, I got a bill and I was shocked. They billed my insurance more than $300 and informed me that, I first had to been seen by a physician who ordered my test. So, basically a doctors visit! Seriously? When I walked in, I told them all I needed was a COVID test. I didn't need a physician to evaluate me and tell me that I needed a test. If they were very clear, I would have easily gone to Walgreens or another COVID testing center where my insurance could cover all the cost. But now they want me to pay almost a $100 which my insurance didn't cover. I believe this kind of practice is very intentionally misleading to unsuspecting patients and needs to stop. But the nurse practitioner was nice.

Yes, our Express Cares will be open on Labor Day. Thanks.
They do. I have gotten several done there. Docs are awesome, and turnaround is quick.
Hi Diana, unfortunately, it has not been fixed, and are unable to do chest X-rays at this time.
Yes, but "available" and how long you have to wait is night and day, the entire clinic is impacted by the virus and even a 5 minute blood draw takes over an hour to get in the clinic, you wait outside in your vehicle or sit on a bench outside next to other masked people waiting ahead of you for hours too. They need medical trailers in the parking lot with three times more staff to handle the volume of people, plus you risk your health waiting there to catch the virus !
No, they are an urgent care facility. They are a walk in clinic.

It would depend on insurance
