Showed up and the employees at the front desk was somewhat rude. Got keys to my room and they didn't work. After about 10 minutes I got a new key that worked and I entered the room. Room was covered in dog hair and didn't smell too great. Also not located in a super great area.

Positive: Ease of parking, proximity to our destination. Lots of towels and toiletries, comfortable bed, enough pillows. Quiet room on the first floor right off the lobby so it was quick in and out. The room was clean. Good breakfast. An adequate 1 night stay. Negative: The hotel is older and the room was small. The sink was not inside the bathroom and there was no fan/vent in the bathroom. The shower door was coming off the wall. In the main room, the HVAC unit blew right on a person sitting at the desk.

Good hotel to stay when you have dogs. No additional pet fee. Safe outdoor area to walk dog because it’s out of the way of the main road, but not too far that you’re away from gas stations/restaurants etc. Non smoking. Clean room, clean bathroom. I know some other reviews complained about it, but for us it’s so far so good. Staff is friendly and we’re glad to see that the continental breakfast is back. We drive between NJ and TX a lot and we were here in 2020 too and back then they switched to giving breakfast bars, yogurt, and a fruit. We didn’t use it but the pool looks clean too. Friendly front desk staff. We only stayed for a night, but they have a notice that says for multiple night stays, they only clean your room upon request.

I never have high expectations when staying at hotels and I rarely ever get good sleep but this hotel was excellent. We arrived late -1 am- and climbed right into our beds. They were so comfortable! And the blankets were warm and slightly heavy which I really liked. It was quiet and I was able to sleep great except for the alarm clock going off at 6 am. My 2 girls shared a bed and fell asleep within minutes and slept right up until we had to wake them up which is a miracle. The shower was also amazing! Probably the best shower I’ve had in awhile because my shower at home sucks! All in all it was a great stay!
