Actually most of the animals are not killed they are moved to rescues instead of being adopted by individuals. Maybe you should actually go inside the facility and meet the works before being rude! These people love these animals and try hard to find them loving homes!!

$80 unless it's an adoption event. At the adoption events the fee is only $16 for pets that haven't been fixed yet or were fixed in the shelter and $3 for ones that came into the shelter fixed.

Well first and foremost I do not work for the agency. Sometimes the animals are out of control and for the safety of the officer and the animal you must do it as quickly and safely as possible to reduce the stress the animal is already under. I have personally adopted two putt mix dogs and have had nothing but good feelings towards the agency,just wish I had time to volunteer and help out.I am not trying to be disrespectful or ugly in anyway but maybe you should help out to be a part of the solution instead of placing blame when you have no idea what exactly has transpired before you seen what you say you seen.

No. This is a kill shelter, if you look at their Facebook page they give each animal a set amount of time to be adopted before euthanizing the animal.

Yes they are a kill shelter, all animals are given 2 weeks for adoption. It should be noted that Rowan has not euthanized an adoptable pet for about 5 years. If they are healthy there shouldn't be any problems with them getting adopted

When you have hundreds of cats being surrendered month way, there isn't enough rescues that are going to be able to handle that amount of volume. It is not the shelters fault, it is the fault of the irresponsible owners. Blame them not the shelter.

Call the Rowan County Animal Shelter and they can tell you.

First check with your vet if they take the voucher, most do. The voucher is known not to expire, since some animals adopted are not of age yet to get fixed. However, it may also depend on the vet.

There are puppies there at certain times, but honestly you might just have to pop by and see for yourself, the pictures/statuses on their FB page are not always accurate

The shelter gets rabbits, pigs, ferrets, hamsters, guinea pigs as well as other animals. They go quickly. Follow their Facebook page so you can see when they get some in.

The $3 ones are cats that came in to the shelter already fixed. They are only $3 during adoption events. You will have to go by the shelter for information regarding the cats themselves.

You or a friend/relative has to come to the shelter with a valid photo id. They can accept payment by phone. There is no way to do it online.

The next $16 adoption event is on Wednesday the 22nd. You can adopt any day for $80.

Please post this on to the Facebook yardsale pages with a picture and age if the dog. You can also contact local rescues to see if anyone has the room. This comment won't be seen by very many people so please don't rely on it. If you're wanting to surrender him to the animal shelter, you can do that Monday through Friday 11am-3:30pm.

Usually none actually get euthanized now unless it's medically necessary. Rescues are amazing and pull so many. Rowan used to be a high kill shelter but the past few years it has gotten better and better. Local rescue groups are on top of it making sure that no adoptable animal has to die. Rescues even pull the feral cats for barn homes and feral colonies. It is still a kill shelter so they HAVE TO list a date.

80 dollars for an adoption and you can fill out at form online but the actual adoption has to be in person so they can check your ID

Currently they don't have a fixed schedule for them, but do so based on the volume at the shelter. This has been an especially long extended kitten season, for example, so that has been one of the reasons there have been several in recent weeks.

Yes They are. They just murdered an innocent animal. Named "Scar" a Cat. And they wanna also kill a Pregnant female cat. If they don't get $300 asap. They are Killers!! Its a Crime!

Youll have to call the shelter to get thst information, they barely manage the shelter let alone any other sources. I think the fee is around $70-80 but they are having an 80% off event soon. Check their Facebook page for more information. Thats all i have to offer, good luck.
