Very rude and unprofessional... looked at us like trash, and wouldnt let us look... have bought from Clayton/Vanderbilt before but will never use this place... they definitely dont look like they are to do anything but sit at a desk!! Sad....

I enjoyed meeting with the sales representative. He answered all my questions, provided an estimate of the costs, walked me through the process, and showed me some model homes. However, some of the reviews concerned us. Most complaints delt with communication after the purchase, some contractors that were involved in the process, and the service that was provided after the home was set up. While every situation was different, when looking at the list as a whole these where the dominant issues. We are continuing to look at these homes, but we wish to address these concerns before we move forward with a purchase.

Currently annoyed there is not a fraction of a Star. The sales agent was very friendly and knowledgeable (Logan) but the rest of the staff and experience was abysmal. Scott (Manager) not only lied about my other contractor but was the rudest person I have had the displeasure to speak with in years. Their "Permits Specialist" (Don't currently Remember her name, Teressa?) not only refused to provide paperwork for our Septic field that they had surveyed but was actively obstructionate for our other work. Originally we looked into using "their" contractors for our land clearing and other work but due to the distance/availability we were forced to find someone else, and thank the gods we did they are amazing. Every I can not express how strongly I advise NOT to give this team any of your business. Update 2/10: Spoke with Clayton corporate agent, It appears that they decided to not pay the Septic crew at all to be able to refuse to provide me the paperwork generated by the company that came to scout the placement of the drain field. My refund was confirmed requested and "Should be received within 14 days" I feel for the agent I was on the phone with as she was not connected with this disaster...
