Really happy with the service! They were really patient with my questions and didn’t mind if I wanted to make changes as the deck progressed. Love finally having deck!

Came out to give us a Trex estimate about a month ago. No estimate ever received. Do not return calls, do not reply to emails.

Asheville Deck Builders made creative suggestions to allow my project to become even better than I initially imagined and did so while staying within my budget. I would recommend them to anyone!

Questions & Answers

Can my current deck support a hot tub?

Most deck built at ground level up to about 2 feet off the ground if properly constructed can support a hot tub. You will definitely want an expert to check first before purchasing a hot tub and getting it delivered and setup. A hot tub full of water with several people can weigh over 5,000 pounds so make sure to have it checked out first.

Does traditional wood decking or composite decking cost more to build?

Composite decking costs more initially for the materials. In the long run though composite decking can save money and will definitely save you time in annual maintenance since wood decks need periodic sealing and some sanding.

How Soon Should I Stain my new Deck?

Asheville Deck Builders | Oct 14, 2021
Asheville Deck Builders | Oct 14, 2021

While this depends on several factors such as the moisture content of the wood, where the deck sits in relation to the sun and the current weather conditions and time of year. We generally recommend waiting at least 3 months for the wood to dry out. We can consult with you based on your specific circumstances and give you the best answer to this question.
