This is one of the better non-chain options for takeaway food in Taylorsville, although it is nothing extraordinary. I spent much of my adolescence in China, Japan, Singapore, and Indonesia, so I do admittedly have somewhat of higher expectations than those who have only eaten Americanized versions of these cuisines. Coming from an immigrant, multicultural family, I do prefer very "traditional" South Asian, East Asian, and Southeast Asian food. But sometimes you just need something quick and greasy when you're on the road and passing through town on your way home from work. With all of that being said: I would say that on the whole, the food here is slightly above average compared to other takeaway options in the area. Portions are generous, and the food is both visually and texturally appealing. However, the flavor/seasoning is not very strong, and the prices are VERY high given the mediocre quality (~$11 for one main course meal with no sides or drinks or even a fortune cookie). I feel like for this pricetag, I would anticipate either a slightly larger portion of the entrée or the accompaniment of some complimentary sides outside of just a small box of yellow rice (i.e. two eggrolls or egg drop soup). For this current price (before tax), the food is arguably not worth it. The side of rice was 1/3 the amount of the entrée, so I had to cook more rice once I was home. I also had to re-season my dish, because it was neither spicy nor flavorful. Big bummer. All in all, I'd say that I would've given my food/the experience four or five stars if it had either been less expensive (a fairer price would have been $9.00 max) OR if more sides/extra food items had come with the dish. I don't think the higher price tag is justified by the subpar quality, although I do think the food is decent overall. I would recommend trying it out if you're in town for work or looking for something quick and easy after a long day. For anyone looking for authentic Chinese food, this will likely be a miss, and I'd advise traveling to Catawba or Wilkes counties for better options.

I gave it 3 stars because I remember how good it once was. Food quality/freshness has dropped off. Three scallion chicken meals, around $37 and the chicken was tough and overcooked/reheated. Sitting in line for 30 minutes while my food is getting cold is also getting ridiculous. Can you not figure out to ask people to pull back around if their order isn't ready yet? Perhaps they could pull around front and you could take it out to them but Please stop making everyone else wait for the person at the windows order to be cooked.

This restaurant use to be very good, but has definitely gone down hill. Pineapple chicken was drier than dehydrated food, and 4 small chunks of pineapple is supposed to make it pineapple chicken?! The other 2 meals we ordered also left something to be desired. Will not be ordering from here any more.

As a honorary member of the Asian Foundation, we have disowned this place! In all my years, I thought I had the worst chinese but this place had managed to top even that! Food tastes like city water because they soak the vegetables in water to preserve it longer. Chicken doesn't taste like chicken. Flies are everywhere including Horse Flies, yes, the only place in Taylorsville where you'll find Horse Flies aside from animal facilities. If a business doesn't want to stay in business, please stop supporting it, otherwise eat at your own risk. Also, I threw my food away after taking 1 bite. Unsafe and Unsanitary.
