Our stay was really NICE here. Monique is very approachable & helpful. Her Vegan breakfast (oatmeal & fruit & a "Just Egg" burrito wrap) was delicious. Her selection of teas/coffee was very comforting! There was soothing jazz music filling the ambiance of her mansion. The location is walkable to arts, dining & transportation.

The Akwaaba Mansion is just wonderful. Set in a beautiful, well preserved building, the hospitality of the inn keeper made our stay even better. Lovely room with a comfortable bed and easy on street parking. We’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I planned a quick weekend getaway to Brooklyn and decided to stay her. We had a fabulous time! Our experience started before we even arrived. We had a late check-in and Monique was able to accommodate us by sending us the necessary information to access the home. We entered the room and the previously ordered champagne was on ice and strawberries and whip cream were still chilling. The room was beautifully lit with candles. The next morning we met Keenya, the innkeeper. Such a kind women...and her breakfast is amazing! Due to COVID-19, my husband and I were a little reluctant to join the other quests in the main dining room. Keenya was flexible and made arrangements for an outdoor breakfast on the screened in porch. All in all, we had a wonderful, relaxing time with nice fellowship in a beautiful, historic home!!
