Not a bad station. Relatively clean, doesnt smell like homeless pee pee, hardly crowded but most of all i had one incredible experience on tuesday morning there: i met Art Garfunkle .

There are always delays in 5 trains going downtown, Always, they don ubderstand one think that people are nonstop going to work, and becouse of sh*t service of MTA we always get late for work...

The station itself is okay but the location is a little inconvenient. It requires walking a pretty long distance to reach the buses. Especially if you need eastbound service. Two island platforms with only the outer local tracks in regular service. I like the Dyre Avenue Line because the stations are pretty far apart. It used to be a railroad line.

The 5 runs on one and the 2 runs on the other
No. It's the 5. It will leave you on Pelham Parkway North off Williamsbridge Road. Pelham Parkway on the 2 is on White Plains Road. If you want that stop, take the 5 from Dyre to East 180th Street, go downstairs and back up the other side and take an uptown 2 towards 241st Street and get off at Pelham Parkway. Note that the 5 isn't running between Dyre and 180th this weekend.
Yes it is safe but it is mostly a narrow bike path while on pelham pky. So u decide??. I do it but elders should take a cab andvthere is taxis right there at the train station.
