Simply AWFUL CRUEL & Gloomy if you care about loved ones Don’t put them in this place. The middle aged white lady in the front desk Margret was verbally demeaning to 2 older Latinas women Then when I commented on her tone, she became belligerent & we engaged in a verbal altercation. Where she displayed an unprofessional conduct & very temperamental (Trumpet) like behavior.Huffing, puffing & yelling is how she addressed us. She also lied when I asked for her name in truth she does look like “Mary Jane. “ Social worker Jacklyn is beyond cruel canceling the ambulate van I was going to pay for instead sending an elderly immobilized patient in a dirty terrible Medicaid van knowing they don’t bring patients upstairs she well dam knew what she did was wrong sent with NO wheelchair or equipment which they had put an order in, but was canceled again by, them. Jacklyn knew my mom had Covid yet obviously she is desensitized or pure racist to put a 95 yr old through agony on A - 2hr drive which she was very aware about for she mentioned it to me, incomprehensible & unacceptable just plain evil. Wonder if she like for someone to treat her mom which such disregard, I can only wonder. Jacklyn also made it difficult for me to get her out of there to her home where she wouldn’t be around a bunch of strangers whom though have Latinos residing there. No one even spoke her language. The facility in a whole deserves a Big Zero. My mom came in walking & talking by the time she left this place She caught Covid Yet they Never informed us though as a guest one must take a (test) with Covid kit they provide Daily & fill out 2 pieces of papers yup every visit. Almost to patronize & deter guests from visiting their vulnerable relatives & see what really goes on. Btw at No moment do they ask for any I.D. from the guests - Talk about lacking security. My mom went into deep depression & stopped eating. They claim she was eating indeed she looked like she was dying. Her bones protruding even in her face & told she was going to Die. As well developed a horrible bed sore on her back side that I’m treating at home. She has been eating & talking & around caring family. They gave me HELL to get her out of HELL. They understaffed & only one single person spoke SPANISH & he was the janitor. The patients many have dementia so they take advantage of their weakness. They fast at throwing their titles at you as the ‘supervisor’ of the nurses had Irene Linzer; believe she said. However she hadn’t explained why my mother was either injected with something since blood was withdrawn; she was bandaged up. Nor did she return my calls about this matter, very convenient. Personally think they wanted her to DIE cause she is Now under Hospice Care. Which turned out to be a blessing rather being in a poorly controlled facility that doesn’t care about the seniors. Must say with exception of a few nice nurses who work there the place should be SHUT DOWN. The food give you pause. I’m deeply disturbed to write this place Don’t Care about your loved ones - only the money that comes into these senior Nursing - Rehab’s.

To All the Staff of Glen Cove Nursing and Rehabilitation, I find it difficult to express how you mattered to our family whilst our loved one was in your facility. The love and care you provided was done with care and grace. I want to express that what you do is very very important to a family, each and every one of the nursing/Aide staff touched out lives. We were fortunate to find our way to Glen Cove when we were looking for a Rehab Center. A special thank you to Linda, Director of Cardio- Pulmonary, Stephanie, Respiratory Therapist, Noemi, Registered Nurse, Michael, Therapist, Marie and Mitzi, CNA's.
