This is one of the best campgrounds that we have stayed at in the Black Hills. The lots are spacious and clean. The swimming pool is clean and well maintained. It has a laundry facility and bathrooms that are clean and very well maintained. The people who work here are easy to get along with and very personable and accommodating. The location of most of the camping sites are down a hill limiting the wind which is very nice. The cost of staying here is cheaper than most places in the Black Hills. Anyway, there is just honestly nothing bad to say about this campground. We will definitely be staying here again in the future! Thanks for a great vacation! Doug Parrow and Family.

This campground is hands down the best one I’ve camped at. Not only is it in a great location, but the staff go above and beyond to make your stay as easy and fun as possible. All of the staff are helpful and considerate, but Brady specifically was extremely helpful during our stay. He used his personal time to help us out when we were in a rough spot and did not think twice about it and would not take any payment. I will definitely be coming back to this campground soon!

Beautiful location, the staff was extremely friendly, and the grounds and bathrooms were clean and well kept. Great price, and the prices in the store, they didn't gouge you like a lot of campgrounds will. Only thing keeping it from 5 star, the beds in the cabin were extremely uncomfortable, and they wouldn't let me bring my dog, didn't even offer a pet deposit. I would be ok with it except for a few things, the mattresses are covered in plastic, you bring your own bedding, and the floors are wood, and the grounds crew has their dogs following them around running through campsites, (EDIT: after the owners reply I wanted to make this clear, their dogs aren't a nuisance at all, didn't want that to come across negatively that they have their dogs there), and my dog would have been on a leash and would have been with me whenever we would have left for trails or whatever.

If you’re looking for a good camp ground in the middle of all the activities this is the one! My family of 4 including two small children tent camped here for 4 nights. The people working the front desk were absolutely wonderful to talk to and help us make our reservation over the phone. They were even super flexible and we’re able to get us in one day early. All their tent and camper sites have electrical and water hook ups which is so awesome and terribly hard to find a tent site with electrical but it was a must with small kids. There’s a laundry room, pool, bathrooms and hot showers as well. Upon checking in I was able to look around their little convenience store and grab things we forgot. They sell fire wood and ice on site as well for a reasonable price. After checking in you’re escorted to your site by one of the workers and two adorable dogs so you’re not left wandering around trying to find the correct site. They helped my family find additional things to do and places to eat while there and I can’t thank them enough for their amazing hospitality! We will most definitely be seeing them again in the near future!

Custer city has a public dog park, it's called Custer Bark Park, on the east side of town. I don't think the campground itself has one.
Sorry we do not have a shelter house or gazebo !
