The camp spots were great. But the camp host was less then desired. A angry guy that felt he was entitled.

National Forest Campground, excellent well maintained sites. We stayed on the outside of the lower loop close to road. Hardly noticed road noise. Nooksak River adds a delightful white noise. Almost no mosquitoes if you can believe that. VERY private. I expect the worst with pit toilets. Whoever is cleaning this deserves a gold medal. Spectacular cleanliness and pit toilet are usually not in the same sentence, but behold this wonder of the NFS. We the public do not give campground hosts enough credit. This host “Ron” takes pride in his job maintaining this campground. Many thanks to all campground hosts like Ron. Cheers

The location of this campground is great, right at the start of the National Forest and close to Glacier (stop at the wake and bakery!) The sites offer good privacy, all are well set up for tenters with huge pads. Only about half good for RVs unless they're super small like ours. The river side sites are great, I do recommend the upper loop vs.the lower near the bridge (we were at 26 but would have preferred after seeing it to be on site 12 or around there) . They were more open and less accessible for any random person coming down the stairs from the highway above. Ron, the host, is great. Super helpful, paints awesome rocks he hides all over (thanks Ron, one now lives in our trailer!) and the cleanest National Forest pit toilets you'll find. He takes great pride in the place and loves visitors so say hi. He was scrubbing mossy garbage bins and loaning out playing cards, good guy! There's a nice trail that literally starts there. Water is tricky so suggest you bring your own (solar pump is finicky and water, while testing clean, is decidedly a brown green colour....) overall happy to have found this place, we will likely be back!

Beautiful and peaceful campground! The host is so kind and really awesome! $25 a night for regular sites, $27 for riverside. $8 additional for second vehicle. This campground is really close to Mnt Baker. Will stay again.
