This was a nice little campground right near the border of WA and Canada. It was a decent sized lake near it which was very pretty at sunset, and no one else was here so we were able to let the dogs sniff around and not bother anybody. We went early spring though, so we experienced some weather and in the morning when we woke up we realized it hailed/snowed on us!

Very peaceful quiet and i will only go camping there from now on my favorite lake now... clean bathrooms fresh water and the best of it all excellent fishing

Is it open in winter
Hello Nancy, You can definitely swim in the lake! Its just a bit cold because of the winter run off. There is also a rope swing along the other side ss well for a bit of additional fun in the water! Make sure to bring bug spray, and watch out for poison ivy/oak. Ive never ran into any at Pierre, but that doesnt mean its not out there!
