The hotel pool was dangerously high in Chlorine without proper ventilation. I saw multiple people leave the area quickly as they were coughing and gagging on the chemical fumes. My husbands eyes were burning and stinging, my brother got a massive migraine and the kids were also coughing and not feeling well. It didn’t look like anyone was addressing the issue. If you stay here and you go into the pool area, use caution! High chlorine levels can be very dangerous.

The property and staff were (for the most part) very good. Our only issue was that the night staff completely ignored the smoke alarm that was blaring across the hall from our room all night. They said that they heard it but decided to wait for the maintenance staff to arrive in the morning. It was an easy fix that did not need to keep us up all night. I have also reached back out to the hotel since our stay and they have ignored my messages - kind of odd As can be seen- the staff did reach back out (after almost 8 months)

Hotel is less than two years old - clean, well appointed. Comfortable bed. Good location on the edge of Custer. Firehouse Brewing is just down the street. There is a pool and hot tub. There is a fire pit on the backside side of the property - great for drinks with friends under the stars. Free hotel breakfast was solid - eggs, bacon, pastries, fruit, cereal, yogurt. Free parking in front of the property.

Nice clean rooms, Perfect location to travel to Custer state park, black hills and Mt Rushmore. Everything is under 30 minutes drive. Rooms were clean. Carpets were a bit dirty. The view was good from our room. The complimentary breakfast was really good as well. To
