The nurses get a 5 star rating but the management gets a 1. The nurses were awesome, but the management and their rules dealing with Hospice patients with Covid was horrid. Think twice if you are on Hospice and your using them for Respite Care. Find out their policy if your loved one gets Covid while they are there.

At Prestige, the care the number of care staff divided by the number patients they have to care for per shift. There are nurses, CNA's, to care for the patients, but some requests for service goes unanswered. Level of care is lower than it was at St. Elias. The Wi-Fi works here though. PT and OT works pretty hard getting their to improve their overall health, but it's not an hour and half to two hours daily, it's more like half of that. Accept every opportunity for a workout, don't refuse a workout. It's to your advantage to improve your health at every chance they offer it. There's bible study class on Thursdays at 2PM, Sundays Catholic service 11AM, interdenominational service 2PM. Their food quality needs to be tightened up better to be heart healthy and plant-based diet friendly. Some of their foods are very high sodium. They at least don't always overcooked the protein. More fresh fruit needs to be offered with every meal, not canned fruit.

I give them one star because negative stars was not an option. If you want a "care facility" to completely deplete funds in what is much higher than usual and customary charges, this is the place for you. If being lied to is something you enjoy on a regular basis, this is the place for you. Luckily, since the State got rid of the criminal social worker/manager who worked here before, things improved with the exception of the State having to cover their tracks on formal inspections and complaints that were so bad that they should have closed the place down. What this place did to our family is not something I would wish on anyone.

Lynda McCarty | Oct 14, 2019

This is a 24 hour facility. Families are welcome to visit any time of day or night. The reception desk is staffed from 9 AM to 7 PM, making entry to the building easier during these hours. For after hours entry, simply pick up the phone to the left of the door. Someone will answer and come to the front to let you in.

Carlee Apfel | Oct 14, 2018
Lynda McCarty | Oct 14, 2019

Currently, this facility is not equipped to take residents with tracheostomies. (I see this question was asked over a year ago and you may no longer need assistance but I hope this answer can help someone else)!

What kind of clothing can my Mother ware?

Doreen Turner | Oct 14, 2017
Lynda McCarty | Oct 14, 2019

Residents are welcome to wear any clothing of their choosing. The facility encourages residents and their families to bring in several sets of clothing - a weeks worth at the least - so your loved one has options. There is onsite laundry that is done by the facility or residents may have a family member take clothing and personal linens home to be laundered. (I see this question was asked over a year ago and you may no longer need assistance but I hope this answer can help someone else)!

What type of rooms do the residents have at your facility?

Doreen Turner | Oct 14, 2017
Lynda McCarty | Oct 14, 2019

This facility has private, semi-private, and shared rooms. Private rooms have a bed, TV, bedside table, and a fully accessible private bathroom among other features. Semi-private rooms are separated by a doorway or small entry area and share a fully accessible bathroom. Shared or "double" rooms are one large room with two beds and other amenities separated by a curtain and share one fully accessible bathroom. There are more private rooms than semi-private or shared rooms in this facility but all are subject to availability. Availability questions may be directed to the admissions coordinator at Prestige. (I see this question was asked over a year ago and you may no longer need assistance but I hope this answer can help someone else)!
