The views are amazing. The lake was pretty dried up during our visit but it was still beautiful. We stopped by on our way to the Great Sand Dunes.

It's a great place to restore yourself if you come prepared. Beautiful sunsets and mountain views. Bring your own water and good manners regarding trash and dogs.

Another great state park. Not much traffic there!! Picnic tables and can walk around. Great views!

Got to camp here this weekend & it's convenient because there are so many spots but pretty close to others if you don't mind. The scenery of the Sangre de Cristo mountains & Great Sand Dunes is just breathless. Definitely recommend camping here. No fees either.

A national parks annual pass, a fishing license or a hunting license is required to stay here
im not sure i didnt fish.but its an awsome park to stay for a while if you like being out away from everything.no water in the restrooms as they have cut back.but sites are great and nice walking and hiking
