Nice place, always a good time when I come here. Lots of space and area to be with family. I love how they have onsite lifeguards and extra life jackets that ranges from infant-adult. To bring your own boat it’s an extra $10, so total you will pay $20. Not bad. Also they have rental kayak boats and other necessities for the lake. Overall I love this place, I bring all my family. First time here. Just bought some kayaks and was looking for a nice place to paddle. This place had good reviews. When we arrived, we realized we forgot our paddles at home. The rec center was open and was able to rent us a paddle for $3 for the day. Staff was kind and helpful and the facilities (boat launch/restrooms/rec area) were nice and clean. Will fending be going back. There's also sandy areas for kids to play in the water

Great place to kayak. $10 entry fee. Nice boat ramp and dock to slip in the kayaks. Recommend for anyone local who loves to paddle board or Kayak.

Pretty dry, not much green. Good for getting a tan. if you don’t bring your supplies, tent, chairs, kayak then there’s not much to do except sit and contemplate your life

You can pay for your car on a daily basis but if you frequent state parks it may be worth it to buy the annual pass.

I think before you get to the new Folsom bridge going east about a quarter mile or so you get to the I think it's called Sandbar State Park and it's on the north side of the American River
Yes they also have kayaks and I believe they have paddle boats.
Really good fishing. This lake is a stop gap for Salmon. They stock this lake and have a fish ladder for them to run. Good fishing.
Yes! You should have your dog controlled and on a leash, but people are always letting their dogs run around. The area has a TON of beach area and a launch and picnic tables. You absolutely can swim, but it is pretty cold
