God's spirit is here. This temple has a special place in my heart! The grounds contain so much peace and reverence! Definitely a place to just sit and ponder!

Just make sure that you have the parking ticket stamped. Then your parking will be free.
That you will. Make sure you have ample time beforehand to take care of the interviews first, and it'll all work out.
Because of the DC Temple closure, this temple busy. Many go and can't get a session. I suggest that you still call for details.
You may want to try an AirBnB or you can stay at the Sheraton which is the closest hotel to the temple.
No, there isn't a Visitor Center. The Welcome Center is located next to the Temple where you can find restrooms. Take the stairs or elevator up to the rooftop for a cool view, especially at night.
Yes you can park under the temple. Take the parking ticket with you as there is a validation machine in the church.
Try Familysearch.org (https://www.familysearch.org/locations/). You can find expert help near you.
I know there's a Spanish endowment session Saturdays at 2:30 PM. Not sure about Portuguese sessions. You can check the LDS Tools app for the Temple schedule or, better yet, call the Temple directly. Best of hopes to you!
Yes you can. They let me. Just make sure you get your parking pass stamped and let security know. I also left a not on the windshield just in case :)
Evening sessions are at 6:30,and starting on 2/1/19 7:45. Patrons are allowed in at 5:30 and do initiatories as soon as they are dressed.
No LDS bookstore near the temple. None that I know of in the Eastern Pennsylvania or New Jersey area.
There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance depending on your tastes. There is also plenty of parking in the garage beneath the temple. We've never had to park elsewhere, but if necessary you can do public parking a few blocks away and walk or Uber from your hotel.
Call the Temple on Tuesday. The staff will know. It will take a regular van, but may not take a camper van.
Its best to call for hours. In general, if an endowment session is happening sealings are open too. For Tuesdays that is 6:30p and 8:00p. Showing up earlier is always best. The temple is open to patrons one hour before a session.
Correct, hotel prices in the city are pretty high. Try Airbnb or VRBO as another option. You can also look right across the river in NJ...there are some cheap options there.
There are several options, and as I've just found out, Google does not allow me to write them all down - darn character limit. Google Maps has all of the options that are available. You can take several buses, trolleys, the el, the subway, or a combination of them. To minimize walking (though I personally love walking) I would take any of the eastbound buses on Market Street across the street from the station then transfer to a northbound 2 bus on 16th and Market Street. That drops off at 16th and Vine or 16th and Callowhill, and then you'd walk o the temple (about a block). Or take any of the eastbound buses on Market Street, get off at 18th Street. Walk one block north to 18th and JFK and take the 32 bus to Vine Street and walk about a block to the temple. Edit: You could take SEPTA Regional Rail from 30th Street Station one stop to Suburban Station, then walk up 17th Street four blocks/15 mins.
Yes, they do rent temple clothes. The schedule should be on the website for the church.
Make sure that while in the temple you validate your parking. There are also some very nice Air B & B in the area.
White, long sleeves loose or fitted, modest neckline with no cleavage, at least mid calf but at least a few inches off ankle ankle length is preferred . Avoid anything sheer. Hope this helps! Congratulations!
Yep no real visitors center but a out building with a waiting room or sitting room with bathrooms
I am not aware of that benefit either now or before quarantine. The temple is closed now for Spring cleaning; but you could call and leave a message. It will reopen after General Conference.
No flooding and no damage. Only the Vine Expressway became a canal.
No
Yes you can. This is a beautiful temple inside. I love the picture of the founding fathers when you first walk in, this is unique to this temple.
Hi Amber, this is a temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. While there are several ordinances performed here, we do not do communion. It sounds like you're looking for a Catholic Church and I do hope you find the right contact to get the information you need! That being said, you're more than welcome to meet with our missionaries to learn more about us!
The church itself is not affiliated with any PA tech companies but it's possible that some of the individual executives of those companies are members of the church. That's hardly "controlling the technology industry" though.
I don't believe there is nearby RV parking. The main parking is in a subfloor garage. And the temple is in a core urban area with limited to no street parking.
630 pm and 830pm. Always available on the lds tools app.
No this is in downtown and there is limited parking a car or van will be able to park in the underground area but a tractor and trailer will not fit. Not sure if there is a site to park close
Since Washington is closed, Philly is much busier. Also, for the workers, it is really helpful to have an estimate of how many people to expect. If you can take the time to make the appointment, please do so. Thanks.
